Encountered one with this mod while coming back from nearby town, I almost crashed since the damn headlamp was blinding. Guys use this mod only on highways at late nights, not on rural crossways.

re: Bajaj Pulsar 220 Twin Beam HID Modification
You can very well use normal halogens. However, remember that stock H7 halogens are 55W; with a combined load of 110W, its not recommended. I would advice you to install 2 x 35W, if that's what you require!Originally posted by Akki4134 View PostStill haven't gpt any reply from anyone on my last question.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 220 Twin Beam HID Modification
Hi. Very good post. It made life easyOriginally posted by rahuldevnath View PostThanks a ton Aryan..for quick approval! And wo.. double thanks for making it sticky. I'm hope all 220's of XBHP, one day will not run without both beams on highway!
while returning from lavasa as road was deserted and it was pitch dark. I obviously had to turn off hi beam when on coming traffic(1-2 vehicles every, may be, 5/10 minutes) was there.
However, I had difficulty with locating the headlight connector as I did it all by my self.
May be it is there somewhere in the post, but couldnt find it. Also wire color codes were unknown. I had to open up the whole fairing and reverse engineer to find out the connector and wire color codes. Attaching photos for connector and wiring schematics. Kindly use these as references and at your own risk. The green connector on the right hand side of fairing is for pilot, low beam and high beam.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 220 Twin Beam HID Modification
Depends on the dealership to dealership. The Bajaj dealership near my house, do allow it for their regular customers but not for others who didn't purchase the bike from them. Overall the warranty clearly states they have a right to refuse if any after market modifications is done to the bike.Originally posted by RoyalIndian View PostDid not want to create a separate thread, hence asking here
Do electrical modifications such as aftermarket LED indicators, aftermarket headlight bulb, aftermarket Horn, void the standard warranty of the bike?"Biking: the Under-Rated and Drug-Free Antidepressant"

It applies to each and every Dealership. Please go to your local dealership to confirm if they would void the warranty or not.Originally posted by RoyalIndian View PostThanks for responding. Does it apply to Honda too?"Biking: the Under-Rated and Drug-Free Antidepressant"

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 220 Twin Beam HID Modification
The thing is they say it will void the warranty. Question is does it really void it?Originally posted by shadcool786 View PostIt applies to each and every Dealership. Please go to your local dealership to confirm if they would void the warranty or not.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 220 Twin Beam HID Modification
Cutting/splicing wires, adding additional load over the stock rated setup voids warranty. Only a very good rapport with the ASC helps in such cases.Originally posted by RoyalIndian View PostThe thing is they say it will void the warranty. Question is does it really void it?
However, if you replace a 55w HID with a 25w LED without cutting wires, then warranty stays in tact.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
