What I meant is if u salvage the HID bulb from the junk, may not fit, but comes as for the conversion kit will do the job. If u get a projector with an HID bulb, that may not be suitable in other projectors as they are not really following any standards to my knowlege. For eg. u buy an H4 proj kit, the bulb inside will not be obviously an h4 as the beam change is from solenoid. But in the case of an H7, H1 etc. things are different. They use some H8 series such as 880 or so. Luckly most are following H3 is std and any H3 HID/halogen will fit to that slot. I hope I didnt messed the whole thing.

Shreeni, one more suggestion, dont be an addict of HID, show some courtsey to the good old halogen as that will save u from cops some times.

He quoted around 150rs per rod, like that 100 rods

When did I tell I will search HID in Junk

I will use 1 Halogen as well so that I can comfortably use the Pass Light.

Why dont u try local retail shops for the rods eventhough the cost will be some more higher u'd've go for it.

I just simply imagined ya

as u've some hunting techs, there r chances to get an HID bulb. HID ballast have a saftey measure to cut off while an accident occur or any short circit or so. So there could be some throw away HID bulbs along with the lens. Seriously yar. These junk walas dont know which is HID and halo.

Thats wise to have a Halo for the High beam to use pass fun.

How about the final setup? post with the new pics

Guys I wanna install two projectors like da ones in 220 in my ZMA so plz any1 who can help me to do the whole procedure

Don't put Projector for High beam. Even P220 doesn't use Projector for high beam. First source a projector and ellipsoidal lens. Open the ZMA Headlight unit. Cut it and fix it. Seems simple by words but practically will pull out all the sweat in u

Hey, did u checked with BAL for the ellips? Do they come in singles? In that case, u've a good HBeam

Its H7 beam is good and tiny too.

Yup, you wont get single lens. You got to buy the whole P220 Headlight unit for whopping rs.3800/-

I appreciate the idea of retaining AC as reserv, but Abhi discouraged me as he doubts the reliability of two rr in a setup. But its not possible for u I think, as u have only one coil in the alt

Would love to see the magneto side dia, make sure that its Uni's wiring dia

and be some more clear one rather than a mobile pic

+1. Anyways, I am sure I have asked this before, but why exactly do you need AC? DC supply can run any loads isnt it?

He wants to use it as reserv in case the batt/new RR fails.

Shreeni, dont worry about that, as Am on full DC now and every requirement is met from the batt direct. If something happens to the batt too, u still have the RR out. Being on DC, you should check ur batt condition regularly else, u'll be on the road some day may be in full dark
