@adabass
Hi bro, welcome to the club
Have a happy and safe riding
to your queries:
Yes, we have compiled a checklist and that pretty much is what ou need to carry.Thanks neo for the effort
. Was helpful tome as well
Try to browse the earler pages, it has pretty much all the info which a new ZMR owner need to know including running ins ( i myself read the whole thread almost twice)

2. For the fairaing sliders, i think no options as of now yet. So be careful thats the only thing you can do as of now (this has been discussed in earlier threads too)
3. For coating, the showrooom guys will do the teflon coating, you can think of laquering if required, (most probably i would go for it soon )
(Again this is discussed along with pics by saminder, you can check it out)
4.For the security systems again we have had a good discussions(both autocop adn black cat and its installations). Just browse throught he posts you will get a complete info including installations and cost etc
Again all the best and have a safe journey
Which colour is yours and city? we have a owners list running in page 161(i think) .Agian thanks to neo

the fuel meter starts blinking because for the functioning of FI unit approximately 2L of petrol is essential then 2L for reserve so the meter starts blinking when there is approx 4L of petrol in the tank.Originally posted by Prithvi!! View PostHi friends,
Yes the fuel meter is highly inaccurate, my observation it starts blinking as soon as the fuel level reaches around 3.5L and once again it will be fine when you fill up the fuel. Me still not able to calculate accurate figure.What i am doing is the moment the fuel indicator reaches one segment lower (say 4 to 3 consistently) i tank up fuel for say 100 bucks and then again check the mileage till the segment frops back to 3.
Approximately i am getting some 43.
BTW had a ride of 400kms this weekend mysore and shivanasamudra and stayed overnight. Total distance covered 1750. DUe for second service will take it this week. No additional changes done to the stock machine.
Few observations:
1.Long rides are really super cool in ZMR.
2.Curising speeds upto 90 is so confortable and gives you so much confidence (but unfortunately second service is still due so dint cross 100.
3.Braking is awesome, though on hard braking the wheel locks
4.And yes a sure headturner
5.Headlights are insufficent, have to replace esp if you are travelling in night. I found it difficult to manage with stock bulbs.
Overall a very nice experience.
@m2Rocks.
Good to hve one more ZMR owner here here.Welcome to the club bro.
Will get in touch with you

Teflon is a kind of polish, lacquering is a kind of transparent paint coat which protects your original paint. Yes you can get it done now also.Originally posted by kaemakazi View Postprithvi i have got the Teflon coating done from the workshop...now i have heard about lacquering but what exactly is the difference between Teflon and lacquering and can i do it now that i have already got Teflon coating done cause my stickers too are peeling off a bit...

congrats, so you are getting it in less than 90 days. Ask the showroom guys @ the Teflon coating and the anti theft security system. I don't think the later is there in the wakad showroom. Just scroll back you get detailed consolidated checklist done.Originally posted by adabass View PostYipeeeee! My ZMR has arrived in the showroom. I am going tomorrow to pick it up. Need help!
1. Any checklist for taking delivery?
I did the same thing, it was from disk pads. And the disk pads were aligned with some lubrication and were done yesterday at the showroom and now need to check after few km's drive, how it performs ?Originally posted by kaynmantis View PostMight be from speedo cable attached to the front wheels. Put bike on center stand, lift front wheels, spin it and see where noise is coming from.
Welcome bro....Originally posted by Prithvi!! View PostThanks neo for the effort
. .Agian thanks to neo
Check pages around 75, you will get that info in the same thread. I will update your ID in the owner list. Page 161 on this thread and page 19 on ownership threadOriginally posted by adabass View PostThanks bro.. so will look through all the pages (gosh! there are so many!!) - hopefully will be able to sift/search for the information by tomorrow before delivery...
I booked a white and am from Pune.
I think it is because as soon as it reaches 3 bars and a bit running on 3 bars on the display. It starts blinking, that is it gives indication of low fuel between 4-5 liters of petrol in the tank. Yep bang on target vishalOriginally posted by Vishal_91 View Postthe fuel meter starts blinking because for the functioning of FI unit approximately 2L of petrol is essential then 2L for reserve so the meter starts blinking when there is approx 4L of petrol in the tank.
Hope you get that fast ( For your information, In XBHP SMS langauge is banned, so please avoid shortcuts, be plain and simple, MODS might delete your thread )Originally posted by abhijitw. View Postheyyyyy guys ,,,, i m frm mulund i have booked my zmr in jan n its expected in april.
u guyz were also required 2 wait for so long.....

@Kaemkazai
Teflon if you have already got it done, then you would have got 2 additional rounds of teflons left(1+ 2).COmplete it and then you could go for laquering. Me planning to do the same.
Laquering is a clear coat to protect your paint finish. I would be going for it soon, just enquired here.
@Vishal
bang on!!. I think it explains the behaveiour of fuel meter. I thought for functioning of FI it needs 3 lt of fuel and so was going wrong in my calculations.
@adabass:
i would suggest you to swiftly browse the previous pages, it also has lot of important info on some minor initial problems so its better

Cheapest solution to protect your bikes paint is atleast in 15 days, clean you bike on your own judiciously and give you bike a wax polish touch. Believe me, i had preserved the original color of my car ( 6yrs ) and previous bike ( 13 yrs ) by following the same. And a whole lot of satisfaction !Dream the impossible because dreams do come true !
