Be careful with Auto Rickshaws, Tractors, JCB , Lorries and private buses
Sometimes Govt buses too, we never know when these crazy drivers take left or right or stop middle of the road.
Drive slow on damaged roads, Mud Roads, during rain, Blind curves
Judge your overtaking, speed and breaking of the vehicle - Have total control
Avoid listening to Music/No attending Cell Phones on ride.
    Ensure wearing proper safety gears

      I've learned:
      1. Stay away from bicycles, autos and SCORPIOs..
      2. Never loose your temper and start racing with some other bikes..
      3. Be polite with cops..

Don't use power full headlight bulbs to blind the oncoming traffic, i got @#$% many times because of my Philips Essential Vision, i think these Bulbs got some kind of magnetic power that they will attract the oncoming traffic and they will start driving to you

Hey Guys mine is a different one...
Never ride a bike in cold atmospehere wen ur r tired and feel sleepy.

              This Happened to me.
I was on my way back from Goa and luckily met
Sandycorebiker on hi mighty R1 and Winzee on his free flowed exhaust Pulsar150 on the way. Was riding since 6.00 in morning till 1.30 in night not continuously but without major breaks. At almost 1.30am reached pune thru the expressway from kolhapur.
Sandy and winzee decided to halt at Pune. And I decided to make way thru alone.
Also Mind u its not the first time I was riding. but was bit overconfident. I rode easily till lonavla wid decent 80kmph.
At lonavla was feeling sleepy so had a tea break at around 2.15 am. And then started agin. But had gone only 3-4 kms ahead and again felt need of a break.
Waited der at the NEETA Inn at lonavla. Found der the wtchmen wer having a shekoti fire. Sat wid them to get refreshed.
I thought I shud warm my gloves to.. so just warmed them a bit and then continued at almost 3.30 am again

Then I rode till Khopoli easily and now agin was feeling sleepy. The only reason to get home early was bcoz My parents wer leaving for native place at 6.00 am and had to reach before that. And almost 5-6 km ahead of Khopoli I totally fell asleep on the bike and glided towards left into the busshes. I didnt realise That I had a fall that too at 4.00 am and was unconscious for half an hour. Wen I woke up I realised That I had messed Up. The bike was stuck in bushes. I tried to stop some vehicles ... But I think they just found it wierd .. somebody asking for lift at 4 am in morning (They might have taken me as a thief )

I sat down on road for 5 min. Checked if my bagage was alright. ...And woah!! Den I found one of my left hands finger was bleeding. I removed the gloves to see that It had a deep cut till the bones. I didnt realise that the gloves which I held on fire to warm had just got burnt. And the inner edge had become very sharp.

Now its was 5.00 am. Called and told my parents to leave the keys wid neighbours. Then I started the bike stuck in bushes almost 2 feet below the road surface. And lifted the bike thru the bushes on first gear. I was like wen I saw that ,y guard was gone and also the rear brake pedal was missing.... So now it was a real bad time along wid hurt finger no rear brake and a bent gear pedal.

Some-how managed to ride bike till panvel ... almost at a speed of 40-60kmph and then searched for the first hospital that comes in way. Got into GAndhi hospotal at Panvel. Had to put 12 stitches on the porr finger of left hand. Took bike to Mech and waited der for 5 hours to get bike fixed and then reached home by 6.00 pm.

But Thanx to all those earlier falls that I managed wid the experience.
But from that day I took care for such incidence to never happen again.

Dis is a bit lengthy but U will see how the extreme case could be...
I Hope WInzee does not read dis. Otherwise he will screw me.

Most People & Cows don't have reverse gears, always cross them from behind.

Agree with the cows bit. Not at all with people pattern. People and dogs can move both ways.

true... cows can't do a "quick about turn"

what helps is... look at the pedestrian's feet... not their face. it's less confusing.

Careful with chickens though. They have tendency to turn back for no reason. Its still a mystery why they are crossing the road at the first place .

Never get into conversation with any of the guys working at petrol bunks when you're getting your vehicle refuled.. Always ensure amount & fuel readings on the petrol meter show 0.00 before they start putting in fuel.. They have a dozen tricks ALWAYS up their sleeves.. Have learnt it the hard way, more than once..

Be careful of single speed caution board in the highways(you can see in the cities during night time with two boards, one in the left & after few meters, one in the right to reduce vehicle speed)
Once when trying to overtake a truck in highways,i went a little left to overtake as there was space & there was the stop board & I was not able to come back behind that truck again as a car was moving forward to occupy the space.I tried to break but skidded due to the sand which was build up there as no vehicles passed, i skidded at a speed of 65 & hit the board Thank god, because of the leg guard my leg was saved & i just had some scratches on my knees.

                              1. If you come across crossroads that seem to be empty, be sure to slow down and take a look for any vehicles especially if you are going to go straight ahead.

                                Always expect the unexpected!
Even if you are travelling in a one way, be sure to expect a vehicle coming from the opposite side.
Well..atleast in pune it can be expected
