Thanks a lot Sandeep sir for your contribution.!
Ok so moving on,
Lets continue the 'Eyebrow' effect.
The Japanese culture is a rich culture. Often very good animated movies and literature is showcased world over. When you say Ninja and Samurai, the whole Japanese warrior imagery comes up. Ninjas were assasins and the Samurai were a warrior tribe from Japan. Their combat tactics are very famous across the world.
So when the Japanese companies decide to make an aggressive designs, where do they look? Of course their tradition. As Old Fox sir rightly said, predation, precision and speed is to be enforced in the bikes. The natural inspiration is Samurai.
Just look at the typical costume of a Samurai warrior.
This is Japanese aggression. Look how the lines are aggressive.
Now there is an anime series in Japan called Mobile Suit Gundam. It is about humans piloting a giant armoured suit called Gundam. Now Gundam designs are directly inspired by the Samurai design.
Shown here is a Gundam robot.
Look closely at the red lines. The angles that they make.
And now Honda gives us the Samurai face........
So,
if we were to design an Indian sportsbike, should we actually look at our warriors?
So there goes my advice for the bike makers in India.

An Indian example or a quick sketch would do good! nitro!
This reminds me of an old design joke about the P220s head light! the eyebrow looks like a certain something else!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Regarding the 220, they made a round nosed bike(resembling a round nosed animal
) and to give it aggression, they just added the two side pilot lights.
Animal inspirations and human inspirations are the most prevalent today. The Kawasakis have an Insectoid look. Which is why the ZX10R earns its name,Mantis.

@ NitroSatya
Great thread... Very informative....
Your street fighter design theme was spot on.. I ended up picturing it before i scrolled to the cat's pic...
My 2paisas on the mojo...
1) Like you said, streetbikes have evolved to be more agreesive (via the slant). But the Mojo's slant lines have an 'opposing effect' as pointed out by you..
2) Another major flaw is the headlight assembly. The two round headlights (without 'eyebrows') give a very surprised/confused look (if you imagine it on a human face) contributing to a botched up style..
3) The slant of the exhaust could be made steeper (it currently looks like an afterthought) to add to the aggressive look..
Brickbats will be appreciated...I like 'em Naked

Since you are the design guru
was wondering if my thoughts made design sense or not (except for the first one, where i'm papaphrasing you)...

Thanks a lot for your kind words bro. I am not a designer per se, but my field is very closely associated with automotive design. And bike design is open for all!Originally posted by NikhilB View Post^

The Mojo is not 100% bad. No one makes a bike saying lets make a bad design!
You understood it perfectly.
Right now surrounded by a lot of work. Don't know when i will get time to post anything here.

Happy new year to all of you!
I had two days off. Thought of posting this. A quick sketch.
I am working on a theory. If that works, then one can predict the designs of the future.
Please wish me luck guys!
Do comment on the sketch idea. Just the idea of side panels and headlight Inspired by the gaze of a Tiger. The emotion of a Tiger watching you. Your reaction can definitely help me.
Cheers.
Next topic coming up soon.

Wish you the same tooOriginally posted by nitrosatya View PostHappy new year to all of you!
Umm...I couldn't figure out anything unique in this design. Most of it reminds me of Street fighter & a huge rear wheel. I can definitely say its a pure idea out of your mind, but most of the parts resembles from any existing motorcycle.Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostDo comment on the sketch idea...help me.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle
