Got a throttle housing too from the same bike for $2, this type is better for easy acceleration (Read Somewhere)

            Thanks Bro

Now i am even planning to have Carbon-Fibre tank, side panels and headlight housing. Various DIY guides on Youtube inspired me enough, and it wont burn my pocket either.

Still have to sketch it out, once i do that.. Will update.

dude i have 2 questions for you...

              1. importing these parts piece by piece doesnt entitle import duty? if it does, what percentage?

              2. why would you open the engine? shouldnt they be handled with care and kept free from any particles?

              3. how can you even buy these stuff without even knowing whether your chasis would fit or could take it? lol

anyway all the best for your work !

                Hi Punk,

he he .. I totally understand your confusion I am not in India right now. I have a 650R and was planning to take it back home, checked online and realized that i will end up paying a lot in the process. So, started looking at other options.

Since need is the mother of modification, i thought why not to carry a 250cc engine. I have a CBZ back home and i am very attached to it, i am so attached that if i have to choose i will choose my CBZ over Ninja 650R.

Hence looked for an awesome deal. Now i cannot just take the whole engine and try to enter India, disassembled it so that i can bring the engine back home in multiple trips

Its not going to be easy to fit it in the CBZ, but what the heck i actually want to get down and dirty. I hope u got the idea

P.S. You said 2 but asked 3 questions!

Yeah, for me also, it has to be CBZ over any other bike sold in India, anyday.

@CDS - Now, when you are taking so much pains to make your Loved CBZ a fire breather also, have you ever thought of trying to buy and utilise (either on your CBZ or another CBZ frame) a 175cc or 188 cc kit to be used in stock CBZ engine to get 15 to 18 rwps and get good performance. I am saying so only because you are already located at USA (I think) and importing these performance kits is much easier than importing a whole engine.

Anyway, wish you all the best for your plans.

Yeah .. Dont know if it's coz he was my first motorcycle or coz he is what he is i.e. an amazing motorcycle

Thanks Bro! Even with a kit it will go just few bhp up and cost a bomb, whereas the whole engine cost me $400, only thing is to get it to India and i know i will be successful in the muscle transplant

No colour scheme, he is black right now. And once i give him the Carbon Fibre treatment, he will have a grey check pattern as below:

CBZ is one of a kind bike ( i bought a second-hand one recently only) ...I'd say it as the big brother of all modern Indian bikes..It was the start of things to come.

ALL the best for your venture bro! Keep us updated on the progress...keen to know the reports!
