    @ Sajjt
Dude, with regards to your diagram, no luck. It didn't worked. I think it is because in your diagram you used an external connection. What I mean is because the connection of the switches is running and is activated in a close circuit then pass through the BCU then the magnetic switches will be activated. The loop of the circuit is complete. But if we insert or make a tapping of any wiring from outside (did not pass through the BCU) then the switches will not work because the loop is open. I hope you understand what I mean.

When I measured the amp that is being used to make the solenoid work in the projector reads .11amp. So I guess the BCU treats it as under-rated that is why it cuts the supply. Unlike if a halogen bulb is used the amp rating is high and continues to power the beam from hi/lo or vice versa. So because the solenoid only needs a very small amount of current for a short period of time which is .11amp the BCU treats it as an error in the lighting system.

    Hope you understand me guys...

    • Does anyone know a good auto-electrician in chennai to get coil rewinding done on a bullet Mach 350? I'll need an APE RR as well. Doc, abhi

As per my understanding, I'll have to get the coil rewound by a single 19G wire covering more than 12 feet per pole. Both ends of this wire will go to APE RR grey wires and other two of rr (yellow/black) to battery. Everything else from battery, right?

On a side note, has anyone found some good reflectors to put up a second hid for HB?

Now what's the STOCK FEMALE PLUG? Is it 2 ping or three pin? Because, from you pic i can see a three pin female socket of 220!
        Its a P220 S, without the fairing.

          • Bixenon headache R15 specific

            Hi,

I installed a pair of bixenons in my r15 a couple of days back, now I want to run both headlights in low beam and flash/pass and highbeam should work the same of both headlamps.

Now in stock set up the left side lamp lights up low beam/flash and high beam, when in low beam flash lights up both fillaments.

The right lamp only lights up the high beam fillament in flash/pass and low beam.

So anyway I hooked up the bixenon kit, it's pretty straight forward and plug and play, the only issues are where to mount the ballasts, relays and grounding points, so all that was done.

So now I have a duplicate of the stock set up, as instructed I linked up a wire from the left side low beam to the harness on the right side, where the wire is missing, great both lights are working on low beam, when I switch to flash or high beam only the left side bulb moves into position. So at this point I am thinking either the relay is faulty or the solenoid in the right bulb, so to rule out one or the other I switch the bulbs around and fire up, now the left bulb is only working in low beam, the right is doing both, so now I decide to remove the link wire to see if works as stock, now both lights light up in low beam with the blue dash light lit up and both bulbs appear stuck in high beam.
So I disconnect the right side bulb to see if the left bulb works normally, now this is also stuck in high beam, when I remove the plug which sends the signal to the bixenon and plug it in again it swiches to low beam, but the blue light is on. At this point the bulb in the right side has not switched to high or low by the dash controls. While I partly feel one bilb is faulty (solenoid) I also feel that something with the stock switching is causing a problem as both lights will light up in low beam, without being connected externally, I have tried putting the halogens back, one bulb is blown in low beam, so I just put the other in on the left side and it worked normally (with both hid's disconnected) and the blue light on the dash was also normal.

Anyone reading this might be more confused than I am, but my question is have I possibly damaged something withing the lighting circuit and where do I start to trouble shoot this?

i would have gone in the following manner....

              1. chk the stock
              2. chk one HID at a time with stock setup.
              3. connect the low beams together and then check.

              1. replace your blown bulb and switch to full stock setup...

this will help you to see if the stock setup is fine or the mod has fried something inside.

              2. replace one bulb with HID lets name it as HID1 the low beam one.

see if it is working fine and attach only the low beam connector to it. let the high beam bulb remain stock.

now chk if they are working as required or not.

              3. replace your high beam bulb with the HID lets name it as HID2, and replace the HID1 with halogen just connect the high beam socket and not the low beam....

chk this if it is working fine or not....

              4. now connect the low beams together and chk if they are working or not...

this will help you to isolate if an HID bulb is faulty or not.. and if you thing that ballast or relay might be the problem then chk them by connecting them interchangeably.....

P.S: I am not in goa now otherwise i would have come over for troubleshooting...

              • Thanks, that's pretty much what i will do, I know the bixenons were tested before being sent to me, what confuses me is that the high beam blue light on the dash and the lights are in low, but will not switch to high as they had originally(one of them) and also that the second light is illuminated without any additional wiring.

Also another thought, the whole bike seems to have only one circuit (one fuse for all?) thus maybe everything is going through the ecu, i will disconnect the battery for a short time and see if that works, I will probably also test the hids on my swift, it'll be quicker than trying to analyse the bike, i strongly feel it's more to do with the bikes electricals than the bixenons.

                  • Greetings!

I recently got a single Xenon HID installed on my bike, a Yamaha Gladiator and i've been having problems with it. The very first time i checked for the intensity of the HID, it worked fine and i was happy with it. But nowadays when i switch to high beam(Xenon), the light just flickers for a while and then doesn't glow at all. The low beam seems to have a mind of it's own, sometimes glowing and sometimes not. (The mechanic who carried out the fitment converted the electricals to DC.) I've begun to feel like reverting to Halogen but i don't want this investment to go waste. I haven't got the coil rewinded. Is that the problem? Please help!
Right now, 11 Bhp at 7500 Rpm.

                        • Can I have Avenger fitted with HID and a projector?
Would the stock Avenger battery and electrical set up take the HID? Any modification required for stock electricals?
                          What would be the cost?
Very important question is, if this could be done, then who is the master of doing this with perfection in Bangalore?
I seriously do not want to get stranded in the middle of nowhere especially while attempting a BUN BURNER with a blown electrical set up

                              • HID projectors

There is hype about HID projector prices. With my own experiences i checked all the Naiwala area in Karol bagh and there are few shops selling projector HIDs. Honestly speaking i bought one about year ago it cost me Rs.1500 only with HID and the shop name was bike/s mantra and then i found its quality was not that great yet it was full functional and purposeful. So then i roamed around more and found the big fish in the market, its MXS motorsport (www.mxsmotorsport.com). Its one stop shop for all the new age mods and any kind of HIDs, Projectors. Its pricey as compared to my old one. But you can get the Projectors mentioned in the pics for around 3500-4000 as they are the newest so they are the expensive for now.

*There price also depends on your approach while visiting them, They can judge that how much one is willing to pay or how much one can pay. So its upto you too. If i was at your place and going for these projectors i would never pay more than 3000-3200 for them( Without fitting charges).
