    Yes the stock alternator is able to switch on & run the 55/60watt halogen , though it took 1 second to start first & then around half second to switch between high & low beams . But light is not glow to its full extent but good spread than the previous stock 35 watt halogen .

    Yes i am going to change all bulbs to leds / smd leds , but confused with the wiring changes from alternator to pulsar ug4 rr & then from it to battery & headlight .

    With ur 3 pole alternator and a small battery, 35W halo is the best bet for testing, 55W will be an overkill for ur system. If the system can take 55W halo, surely it can take a 55W HID too.
    No changes to the alternator , wiring , rr are done yet , it is as stock . Just putted a 55/60 w halogen instead of stock , which took 1 second to glow at first & a half second to switch between high & low beam .

    Also no rewinding option available here ( as i said before ) , so i just need to unground the grounded wire & connect both wires to pulsar ug4 rr input & output from it to the battery & headlight as before in previous stock connection .
    Correct me if i am wrong or missing something .

      Its not going to work on parallel instead, find out the coils are in series and check whether its in CW & ACW fashion at the end of one coil and the start of the other coil. If its like that, it can be connected in series and take the two wire end to the RR after ungrounding it. U can check with a sprare one for clarification.

      If its not able to glow fully in AC its not an issue but it makes a huge difference in DC, it will hog the battery like anything and it will get fried within minutes unless the charging rates are lower than the demand.

      Whats ur confusion? Its all the same with APE RR and UG4 RR, Its the blue wire for AC input (IIRC) and yellow for batt +, black -ve.

      Are u able to follow the wiring that I've posted? U also use a SPDT relay instead of using 2 SPST relays.

      Re route the head light supply wire from the ign battery switch like in the diagram else, ur bulb will glow even if u switch off the bike.

      Use relays for better performance.

        I am using 35w so am not rewinding (As for now).I will rewind when i go for higher wattage.

        Is that ok?

          Sajit yesterday went to bajaj spare house asked them for Pulsar UG4 RR , they give me a green colour RR with 6 wires ( 2 are gray , 2 blue , 1 yellow & 1 black ) , Asked them is there anything other also , then he shown a same size RR gray in colour having all those 6 wires but a different socket .
          I excepted that UG4 RR should have only 4 wires two for input ( to connect output of alternator ) & two for battery connection . Is the rr shown by me is UG 4 or not ?

          & as shoeb said if i stick to 35 watt halogen or HID is then rewinding necessary ? & instead of those 2 SPST relay or single SPDT relay if i use a headlight relay from bosh or other is that be ok .

            Just a guess -
            gray wires are for ac input and yellow for +ve and black for gnd.
            2 blue wires -????

              Sorry i haven't snapped any pic of it as i think its not the part we looking & not asked them price too , instead i asked them is this the correct pulsar ug4 rr . tomorrow will go & snap them .

                Don't worry about the relays ,I will explain it to you in a very easy method using automotive relays which cost about 40rs (max 20amps).

                    This is the one I was refferring to, which is a P135 RR but P150/180/XCD all were the same when I saw 1.5 yrs back. Sorry have'nt updated recently. Blue wires for AC input, white for batt + and black & yellow striped obviously ground.

                      1.Number of poles
                      2.capacity of battery( in Ah)
                      3.max output of coil(stock)(in amps &watts)
                      4.Max output of RR.
                      5.Total current demand.

                      Whats the part number of RR ?

                            sorry for late reply , my hard disk crashed , so no pc untill got hdd repaired ( 15 days minimum ) . If any typing mistake then please understand as mobile keypad is not like keyboard. @ sajit thanks for image of rr. @ shoeb2015 yesterday i went to bajaj showroom & shown the store peoples image of rr posted by sajit , they said it is out of stock & already ordered check in next week.

                              Try a 55w H3 bulb on stock wiring without any mods.

                              Bulb type H3 only !!

                              I have a good old Hero Honda Street and I was not happy with its light (as usual ). So plonked in a H3 (compromised on hi-low beams). But light intensity is superb

                                How can it be installed on a H4 or r u suggesting for an aux?

                                If it can glow one 55W H3 then why can't we use a 55/60W H4 which is the best bet? It should give a better spread than the non std h3 right?
