I Used a tata indica relay 20amp rating although all automotive relays are same.
They are cheap ,cost 45 rs.

Note-Actual pin markings on the relay are different.Markings used in diag. is for easy understanding.

RR wiring diagram is put up by Sajjt, sorry for making markings in your diagram

Bro i mean what you asked the shopkeeper when you going to buy it ? A horn relay ? A headlight relay ? For me if the third picture is of the relay you got then it is a horn relay as i have fitted myself two of them in passion already for horns .

          Found a pictures in http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/desi-bik...ll-day-16.html

It will be the wiring for H4 bulbs using single SPDT relay if i am not wrong

Yes thats for H4, altered by Lijo Its the easiest way for H4. Get a H4 Male adaptor shown in the thread and do the rest to minimise the wire cutting.

Hey this diagram is not correct !!!!

Reason- the normally closed (n/c) will get juice from the battery via common pin which will cause the low beam to remain on all the time even when engine is switched off so it drains the batt.

Instead Use the diag. I edited.

              @ above all
You can use the relays you have if the pin config matches.

BTW why did you use two relays ? only one relay can easily handle two horns.

"The relay is a multi-purpose relay used in cars to switch all the heavy loads.(horns, rad fans, headlights etc)"

Good going mate, I didn't noticed it before, actually my wiring has got 2 SPST relays, may be this could be the reason which I forgot by now..

Need to ping Lijo also, last week I've confirmed him that the diagram is OK

Hey Sajjt whats the need for relays when stock switches can handle 35 watt halogens easily ?
Also he is using the stock bulbs,if above all goes for hid then the wiring harness will have included relays and wires which will take the juice directly from batt.

I dont think there is any need for relays as long as he uses 35Watts bulb

Pls correct me if am wrong anywhere.

                  Shoeb.

Thanks for pointing out that the diagram is incorrect .

I use 2 relay , of which 1 is for a pair of vibrasonic horns on stock horn switch & other is for windtone horns on a seperate switch , though i removed windtone is the rainy season but relay & wiring is there on bike .

I don't think the horn relay would be good for headlight cause in night if headlight is turned on then you can't off it untill you reach you destination & i think horn relays will be designed for some sort intervals of power handling not for contineouse . May be it go blow & make all dark in middle of road .

Using a male H4 connector which connects to H4 stock headlight socket & a H4 Female connector to 55/60 watt bulb with the help a headlight relay as this

( image by MAXzma ) & battery positive terminal to the pin of relay as shown/written on it . Would that be good & ok ?

Looks like there is a lot of confusion on relays.

There are two types of automotive relays available.
                      1.Multipurpose(Used to switch medium-heavy loads)
2.Headlight relay(Costly and used by aftermarket headlight cut-out /wiring kit)

You can use any relay. There are no specific relays
But for the simplicity, reliability, availability and due to cheap price we use the multipurpose relay.
its reliable and can switch loads upto 20-30amps!!!

Go ahead and use the relay shown in my picture.
I am Using that relay since last 6 yrs, still works like a charm (Little rust on pins)
                      whereas
when I used the headlight relay it stuck sometimes and it needed some knocks to switch off HL.(a Sticking relay)Replaced twice with new Minda hl relay but starts sticking after a 6 months.
                      cost 220/-

just go and un-ground the coil ends and connect it to RR.
If any thing goes wrong you can solder it back.
(Make sure you use a high wattage iron, say 60watts)

Don't hesitate my friend just do it.
If you are a DIY ,you gotta take some risk.
