He sunny do you remember what the service techs did with your bike to remove the misfire issue? & FYI my bike use to mis fire at 7000rpm, was it the same with your bike?Originally posted by sunnyrags View PostDude Its being 3 months Riding FZ-16..There was initially a problem of MISSING, but it got tuned after the 1st service..My machine is giving mileage of around 38-40 Km/litre..& I have touched to 123 top speed & actually its doing preety good.
Now my bike kinda chokes at low speeds even on the proper gear, like on 2nd gear at 18-20kmph. I am damn sure my FZ16 can go beyond 110kmph, according to the engines output at 90-95kmph.
Please give me suggestions.

Hey guys!
Is there a website, for a supplier based in india, who sells imported superbike tyres online? Which gives an option to choose the size i want rather then buy what they sell.
I am looking for 120/70/17 front (Which is readily available) & 160/17 rear, which is no where. Can any one shed some light on it?

Hey Bro
....... I also own FZ & clocked 2950kms. There is not yet a single major issue with my bike as far as any failures are concerned. I also touched 113kmph & mileage comes 40-42kmpl regurlarly. Ur bike is facing some technical problem. It happens once in a hundred bikes bcoz I used had same type of complaints with my p180 which I bought in june2006. Otherwise as of FZ, this bike is absolutely a stunner for eyes & breeze to ride. I wish
ur bikes gets to its best conditions ASAP......
You must be the change you wish to see in the world

You can try KRP in New Delhi or PLANET DSG in Pune for them.Originally posted by Syedali_m View PostHey guys!

Could the mention the mag that says this..?? Outright performance...?? Well, RTR FI will literally walk past FZ-16 0-60 or 0-100 whichever you want.Originally posted by Syedali_m View PostCheck out the auto bike mag, i guess nov issue, which has a RTR fi VS FZ16 section where in the FZ16 has beaten the RTR FI outright in every aspect.
The FZ struggles to go past 90 two-up riding, personally witnesses this on a 300km ride to MM Hills from Mysore.
The only thing the FZ is good for is STOPPIES!!!!! My avatar is proof enough.Kinetic Honda ZX(2001)
Hero Honda CD100(1997)
TVS-Suzuki Shogun CAT(1998) Sold :(
TVS Scooty ES(2001)
Hero Honda Karizma ZMR(2010)
RX135 4S(2000)
RX135 5S(2000)
IND-SUZUKI AX100(1985)
LML-VESPA NV(1990) Sold

Its in Auto Bike, Pct-Nov issue not sure but when i say FZ16 is better than the RTR FI it mean on the over all. Every things counted, performance, comfort, reliability ..... etc
I have test riden the RTR and trust me i rate it better than the FZ16 but the only reason i didnt buy it is becos i felt kinda cramped on that bike.
And regarding the FZ16 not going up a hill with a pillion is not exaclty true as i have touched 100kmhp up a hill with a pillion.

I know the article you are referring to, it was in Bike India mag, FZ has not beaten RTR-FI in every aspect, only in some. He has also mentioned in the verdict that if you want performance, RTR FI is better than FZ & he also mentions that if you choose RTR FI, change the tyres ASAP.Originally posted by Syedali_m View PostHey Sori dude, i guess you own an RTR FI coz u seem pissed!

My pal (xbhp id: dragster) has done 127kmph, coming out of a tunnel (on Mumbai-Pune xpressway, returning from Lonavala). And he normally does around 118-120kmph top... and occasionally does 125kmph on slopes. And hes getting an overall mileage of 45-50kmph, hes done 7.5k kms in 2 and half months and very much satisfied with the bike.Originally posted by leadpb View Post123KMPH...hmm impressive.. Also to add... we had been to Goa when his bike was just 1100kms on odo, and we did continuous 110kmph on NH4 highways for 600kms with just 2 stops and the bike never mis-fired even when pinned at top speed. It was very much stable at high speeds and was able to keep up with P220 at high speeds. There are almost no vibes at top speed and the handling and control at those speeds is nothing short of awesome.Chetan
