the fuse was blown...
actually in all this ac/dc think i lost my fuse box, so wen i bought a new 1 it had a 5 amp fuse inside, i bought ten 10 amps fuses separately as trial and error method was used, i forgot to replace that 5 amp with 10 amp, and that got blown...
@ abhi
i rechecked with my friends 9 amp exide batt, it never exceeded 15 at high revs...
my old puny 2.5 amp batt gives 17 at high revs
this new amaron charged battery 9 amp also gives 17 at high revs
battery is working properly, i rechecked the voltages, it goes to 17 if rpm are held very high...
I've done wiring just as i was told, coil output to grey wires, yellow to batt + and black to batt -ve..
but so far, i don't have any issues...

nano mate, please beware,@ that high voltage the ballast can go kaput.so better not use it.

) but a loose connection is a real pain to find out. Have u double checked this?
