  • the first one looks AWESOME, but given the fact that I am a straight from the camera kinda person, the desaturated lower region slightly throws me off.

The one with the falling water drop is also way beyond cool - how was it taken, tank/tumbler or submerged camera?????

@anvancy: This is the bokeh i was talking sometime ago. Though its hexagonal it doesnot have sharp edges and center dot.

      • @ anvancy : nice shots... but, i think i've seen them before.

Put the three day Puja Holidays to some good use this time.. took a relaxing holiday with family at this beautiful resort at Kaziranga. Since its only 250k from here, we took the car.

Here's a shot taken en route...

        BTW, this is an HDR!

              @anvancy...

i can clearly see why one of your favourite subjects are water drops. because you're so very good at capturing them in macro. splendid stuff here mister. am impressed with the beauty you've brought about in mere droplets of water. keep it up.

and that fly head macro is stupendous as well. how much clearer and closer can macros get, i wonder, after seeing pics like these!!!

              anyway, thanks for sharing.

thanks..glad you liked them..actually none of them were possible if raynox was absent from my kit.they really help in showing beauty in minute things..

regarding macros i only have 6mp to crop..many people who do macro photography crop their photos..(including me)but i clearly state that this is cropped or this is not cropped.if i want to crop i only have 6mp..then DSLR users have an edge..10mp 12mp..that works..but still 6mp also provides clean images.

yes, your raynox surely does make a world of difference. have been following your photos for quite some now, and have been totally fascinated by what the raynox and the photographer in you can come up with.

as for macros, i'm extremely fond of them as well (aryan knows better), but of course i can only come up with cropped versions, due to the unavailability of a specialized kit. i use a canon G9, which has a decent inbuilt macro mode. however, i'm sure i'll learn tricks of the trade as i follow your posts further.

go to SP mode..do fireworks..shift to manual focus..DO NOT MOVE THE FOCUS RING..your focus is now at infinity..go to any mode P A S M etc.

Dude from where, how and for how much I can procure the raynox.. can u pls provide some more details.. Is it available in any US based websites?

                            Here is one weekend click,
                            Straight from camera

                            Aperture: f/2
                            Focal Length: 50 mm
                            ISO Speed: 200
                            Exposure Bias: 2/3 EV
                            ISO Speed: 200

Used a Nikon CP-10 Polarizer which has added lots to the natural saturation.

Lovely place! Very peaceful and full of lush green vegetation. Practically, it was like living 'inside' nature!
