Re: TVS Wego
My Wego(old version) completely drain on the December floods(Chennai).
After that, TVS engineers changed that Service kit and speedometer cable. Then, now my scooter struggle to cross 30 kms/hr. Really too slow to drive in bridges. Sometimes, if try to accelerate the vehicle strucks and I am afraid that it will stop or not.
I can't able to know what's the issue, any clarifications?

Re: TVS Wego
I'm in the market for a scooter. My family wants a scooter with a metal body - reasons being durability and resale value.Originally posted by Navk View PostGot my wego today. Will share some photos.

For the rate at which this one retails, it's a value for money product. I was looking at access, honda activa 125 and the likes but this is more than enough since the usage is pretty much the same with any scooter. Jupiter is a little uncomfortable for me to ride long.
How is the resale value of this after 4 - 5 years in the market? Is it good to buy this over access or activa 125, keeping in mind how it would age and perform through the years? I don't intend to sell this but I want this to age gracefully and be reliable. Also a satisfaction of purchasing a home grown brand.
My first vehicle was an RTR 180 and except for engine roughness, everything was good.

The advantages of having metal body...Originally posted by kc_1602 View PostThank you for your quick reply! I got it repaired today near college. Jc road for 300rs(told he 350 but i negotiated :P)
Looks as good as new. Job well done and worth the cash I felt. Very happy now
Left it around 11 and got it back by 2
He cleaned it first with sand paper or something and started putting different layers of primer n paint. At the end did some touch up and no difference at all from the stock colour. Uploading pics taken before and after repair....What do you guys think?

Re: TVS Wego
wego is basically Jupiter with metal body. design is far better than Jupiter. but this has more features. you can take a test drive and decide whether it suits you or not. BTW if you drive for long distance, then you can take a look at access 125Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostI'm in the market for a scooter. Re: TVS Wego
Done 3 free services for my wego. My observations so far :
+the pick up is smooth and linear.
+12inch wheels and longer wheelbase helps in high speed stability.
+the features it offers is great.
+the grunt and the exhaust note is good.
-the service quality is not upto mark. They create a new problem while solving the existing problem. (sathya tvs - tambaram, Chennai) after complaining to official tvs fb page, they responded quickly and resolved the issues with the scooter.
-the glass Fibre parts are of poor quality, it develops cracks within few weeks of usage. After talking with the service manager, it seems every scooter has this problem and he assured me to change the glass parts for free of cost.
-mileage is not that good. I usually drive between 45 to 55 ( sometimes around 60) in mostly highways, but can't extract more than 40kmpl. I asked svc people to tune the carburetor for better mileage which he did so in the 3rd service. Hope it returns better mileage in the coming days.
-Breaking is not that good, the break gets loose with weeks time.
-The digital fuel indicator is not accurate.
Overall a good vehicle.

Re: TVS Wego
Hi all
A few months back, I purchased a 2015 Wego 110. I wanted to change the engine and transmission oil myself (as TVS service centre here does not perform oil change with outside oil)
I bought Shell Advance AX 7 10W-40 (1 Lit) as the engine oil. What I am confused is about what type of oil should I use for the transmission?
The owners manual states that engine oil and transmission oil are same - TVS TRU4 PREMIUM, 4T oil
So can I use the Shell engine oil for the transmission as well or should I get something else?
Thank you
