Re: TVS Wego
That issue is present from day 1. I asked the SVC Guys about that and they said that it will fix after first service.Originally posted by rreneav1987 View PostI assume you were riding it in rain as there was heavy rain in Chennai. The SVC advised me to go for 25 at front and 35 at rear if you carry a pillion. Not sure about non-pillion riders.Originally posted by kc_1602 View PostWhat is the tyre pressure you guys are using for your wego?? Sticking to manual numbers or higher/lower?

Re: TVS Wego
what is the magic that happens at first service ? were they at least able to find out the cause of this sound?Originally posted by RVSB-RocketVicknySuperBoy View PostThat issue is present from day 1. I asked the SVC Guys about that and they said that it will fix after first service.
It could be the battery or your tool kit hanging loose. scooters like the activa sometimes give out this squeaking noise from the front suspension..and that can be fixed by cleaning out and greasing the front suspension bushes. But the wego has telescopic forks so that could be ruled out.

UPDATE:
The Odometer now clocked 180+ Kms and running smooth till now.
But the sound from the suspension persists. Any Solutions???-----------

UPDATE: Odometer now reads 280+ Kms. Everything is alright and smooth. Even if the engine is warm(ridden more than 20kms) and if you give sudden acceleration, the engine will not deliver power suddenly as you expect. How to fix this???-----------

Re: TVS Wego
Are you sure its the suspension area (or the coneset?) ? If so, do get it checked at the svc.. it might require physical inspection and maybe removal and refitting after greasing the parts.Originally posted by RVSB-RocketVicknySuperBoy View PostUPDATE:

does the scoot hesitate for a fraction of a second and then accelerate ? If so it could be a clogged/damaged air filter or blocked jet in the carb.Originally posted by RVSB-RocketVicknySuperBoy View PostUPDATE: Odometer now reads 280+ Kms. First check the air filter (does it use a dry paper type filter ?) , and ride for a cpl of km without the filter to see if the issue persists, if it does then it could be the carb jets otherwise its the air filter.

Re: TVS Wego
Yeah, found it, it is not from suspension. It is from the floor board and the front apron. The fit and finish is not upto the mark. Will ask the SVC once again!Originally posted by s1d View PostAre you sure its the suspension area (or the coneset?) ? Yes, it is behaving exactly as you said. I gave full throttle, scooter jerks a bit and then picks up speed. Will check it after first servicing.Originally posted by s1ddoes the scoot hesitate for a fraction of a second and then accelerate ? Re: TVS Wego
Gave my vehicle for 2nd service yesterday at 8:45 am and got it back at 5 pm. Looks and drives as good as new nowOriginally posted by kc_1602 View PostCurrently 820 kms on Odo. Plan to give it for 2nd service today or tomorrow...any thing to check out for???
Will ask him to check the brakes and the tuning once. Oil change finished during first service itself.
Brakes tightened, engine tuned apart from normal service procedure.
Total Cost: Rs:00 !!

Was getting around 35kmpl till now. I hope that increases now. (Using 28 and 32 as tyre pressures)

Re: TVS Wego
Guys i need help!! I am not getting above 30-32 kmpl for my Wego 2014 version!! What is the mileage you guys are getting?
Once a week (generally Sunday) I get it filled to the brim(full tank) and at the same time i reset the trip meter to 0 and get the tyre pressures to 28 and 30 psi for front and rear respectively.
I use it till it reaches reserve (one week) and check the trip meter. Efficiency=Trip meter reading/Fuel used(about 4L). My riding style is not too aggressive and not too sedate as well.
Is there something wrong from my side that i have to do?? I have asked the SVC several times..they seem to show no interest at all. Also i don't think tuning was done during 2nd service despite asking them to do so. My current ODO reading is around 960kms.

1. Fill up tank & reset trip
2. Ride for a week or doing at least 120km
3. Refill tank and note the trip reading at the point of refilling
4. fuel eco = trip reading divided by amount of fuel that goes in in step 3.
And if you do short stop go riding of around 5 km frequently (lets say like groceries shopping etc..), the fuel eco will be around 35.. under normal city riding, it should be around 40 at least.

Re: TVS Wego
Measure it by Tankfull to Tankfull method. The digital reserve indicator is not accurate.... As you are measuring it over a week's time, petrol tends to vapourise and hence can lead to less milege. But even then it wont be less than 40Kmpl.Originally posted by kc_1602 View PostGuys i need help!! I am not getting above 30-32 kmpl for my Wego 2014 version!! In a day if i have college that is about 15 kms totally (to and fro combined) and the rest is all small distances like stop start. So i was not expecting a very high number in the first place but i felt what i am getting is too low..thats why wanted to confirm.

both methods are one and the same. I gave you step by step instructions, while sambit just put it across in brief as 'tank full to tank full method'Originally posted by kc_1602 View PostThank You! I will try out both your methods when i go to fill up tomorrow and report it here

for your kind of use, you should be getting around 35-38.. but again i do not know how you ride or the traffic (riding with a wide open throttle/accelerating hard from standstill every time is going to guzzle a lot more fuel than you think on these scooters.)
You will also see a lot of people claim unrealistic figures on their scooters.. just ignore them. Unless you are someone doing long rides every day say at least 25 km one way with normal traffic or with relatively less traffic and ride sanely (lets say like our parents
) .. only then will you be getting around 44kmpl and on pure highway rides it would inch closer to 50, again if ridden at decent speeds. Otherwise it is going to hover around the 40kmpl or lower if its ridden for short distances only. Also when you measure fuel eco over a period of a week, there will be some amount of 'evaporation loss' ... and so that will give you a more accurate range that you can expect out of a full tank.

Re: TVS Wego
Thank You! Will keep these points in mind!
Will be more gradual with the throttle. The traffic here is not exactly what you can call mileage friendly..quite congested and lots of start-stops :P
Today trip meter showed 107.2 kms. Filled 3.190L for full tank. So efficiency=107.2/3.190 . Comes to 33.6~34 kmpl.
Will update again next week
970 Kms on ODO.
