My Wego has completed around 13000 km, when I gave it for service, the supervisor recommended to change the "service kit", comprising of the Air Filter, variator belt and a few other things. The entire parts and labour costs around 1400 rupees. Is this genuine recommended procedure or is he trying to pull a fast one?Comment

4. the variator rollers too should be good for at-least 25k km - again they need to be checked if they have flat spots and then replaced.Comment

Wish I had found out before I told him to go ahead. When I got the bill, it clearly mentioned this as the 24K service kit, so the guy sold me a lemon. I have registered a complaint with the manager at the dealership, let's see where this goes.Comment

scan a copy of the service bill/invoice to tvs also. mention that these were unnecessarily replaced even without checking and since these parts are mentioned as a service kit for 24k, if at all the parts replaced were worn/damaged then they shud infact be covered under warranty.Originally posted by jaganm View PostComment

That's a good suggestion, I will do that. Warranty wouldn't be applicable as my vehicle is around 2 years oldComment

Did you take a look at the old parts that were taken off the Wego? Always demand to see the old parts when they are replaced and check for similar vehicles lying around. More importantly ask questions on what that part does, how it gave off and what needs to be done to prevent such incident in the future. I bought a wego 2 weeks back and during initial drive I drove with a pillion. I didn't had any ride problems. But now for the past week, Im driving solo and get serious back ache. I bought this scooter just for the sole reason of better suspension( Even some members here recommended me a wego for the suspension factor)
Is the scooter, in its initial stages do not have a good suspension? Owners plz help!!(this maybe a dumb question). I ask this bcoz the engine,tires and brakes need to get some time to work perfectly in a new vehicle.
P.S. I drove my bike recently for 120 kms and didn't get any back ache. So its not my body thats wrong!Sometimes you gotta run before you can walk ! - Tony Stark

Wego has a good suspension as compared to other scooters. But don't compare its suspension with bikes.Originally posted by mulli84 View Post

TVS Wego - Plate around fuel cap robbed (I dont know what its called)
The black plate around the fuel cap (markes with red arrow) on my TVS Wego is not bolted. Its just snap fitted and can be easily removed by turning with a little force. During the first servicing I informed the service center and they told me that its an issue with all Wego's.
I was just about to stick it with Araldite or some other glue when it got robbed today :-)
Its a big fail for TVS.
Can anyone guide me on how to get a new one and whats the price?
Has anyone faced similar issues?
Now that robbers are getting to know it, I guess wego's are easy prey to them as this is exposed conveniently.Comment

Some component of the power train can be accessed through the boot of the Wego, which I presume is the carburettor. There is a screw on it, fiddling with which would the carburetor tuning be affected?Comment
