Me cruise @ 100km/hr since i live on the highway i dont need to use the brake for 60km(no traffic) i maintain this speed for over an hr.
My bike has done 4300km.For the 1st 3000km i never crossed 4k RPM.
Can i use CASTROL power 1 racing fully synthetic oil ? will it increase the life of the engine since i maintain high speed for long time.
        Welcome brother.

aah the great man atlast.I forgot to mention that the speeds i quoted
Are all achieved with a pillion(my dad) our combined weight is 155kg.
it reaches 90km/fast so i cruise between 95km/hr-110km/hr which is very easy now .
1000kms back it wont go even to 110km/hr as i munch more miles its reaching good speeds on highways the service center guys say cbz need to complete @least 6k to reach good speeds.also i change oil every 900km

Is their anyway i can increase the cruising ability of the bike like sprocketing
(i dont even know what that is).If it would please tell me how to do it

May be I'd suggest not to bother about any changes and enjoy the good bike as it is... at least, for a while...

Gosh... there is such a thing as overkill!! Your are wasting good oil and your money by changing at just 900 km! This esp. when HH recommends oil change at 6,000 km (if using their oil)! It would be benificial to change oil frequently in the 1st 1 or 2 thousand km... not after that. Also remember the severest stress on the oil is in congested city traffic... not on highways!

Sprocketing is to change the size of the sprockets on your bike. You can get sprockets with less or more teeth. Suggest you stick to the stock setup!

Though it does not do any bad changing at every 900 km, changing at every 1200-1500 is much better. Of course, if you have the moola to change at every 1200-1500, may be it is much better than changing at 2000km. Also, I cannot 100% assure chaging at 1200 is really/pakka much better than chaging at every 2000km. I do change at every 1200-1500 km. The last time I opened my engine to chage clutch plates at 31000km, the mechanic got surprised seeing the interiors of my engine; he said, it is just like a new engine.

Hello folks, i own a CBZX...for two years now...have completed ~24K on it, and after all the torture the bike the been through, apart from the poor mileage, it has given me no trouble whatsoever (had the battery replaced in the first 3 months as it was faulty)

PS: I am getting a mileage of 35 kmpl

                        @Hydbyker point taken

@ravi@17bhp 30000+km ur engine is as good as new .ok i will change
                        the oil every 1200km.
@Racoon Thanks i wont waste my dads money no more.infact he refused to
give me any money as i seem to spend a lot on oil.so i would come up with imaginary problems with the bike and get the moolah.1K km to go for completing 6000kms then i change to full synthetic(dont flame me i already bought it).

AS my bike completed the mandatory 1200km interval i changed the oil today
Found elf 10W 30 moto 4(eco fuel) cost = Rs160(900ml).The bottle says extended drain period 2000km.Exceeds the requirements of JASO MA 2,Also exceeds valve train wear and high temp. characteristics of API SM(whatever that is).

would keep this oil for 1200kms @ 6000+kms i will change to fully synthetic. Also i went through this accident thread and one impressive view on rash driving and life ingeneral (the thread tlks about living in the present, gita i dont remember the guys name). It was an eye opener i reduced my speeds on the highway from 100+km /hr to below 90Km/hr.Completely stopped racing with other idiots like me on the highway.I still remember the day i raced with a uni he almost got killed twice trying to race with me .Who knows whats in store for me tomorrow anyway a BIG THANKS to XBHP for making me a safe rider.

^^^Dude, 30,000 km is not great... not for a Hero Honda/Honda... I'v hear and seen bikes gone upto 100,000 and still going great guns... without any engine work done.

Do let us know what you think about Elf. And dude, this is also an extended drain period oil. U really dont need to change at 1,200 km! Esp. not when most of your driving is on highways.
