Re: Honda Dio, Activa and Aviator

a happy owner of 2013 Honda Dio. clocked 12k Km. fully wrapped in carbon fiber vinyl. I changed my air filter to UNI. Dios from 2013 new model don't have pipe in Air filter box for fitting aftermarket filters. so i had to fabricate a pipe for the filter, and fit the filter on it. then I closed the air filter box. and milage decreased. and I also didn't get any performance improvements.so i opened the filter box and kept few centimeters Gap between filter box and it's cap.I noticed alot of improvement in both average and pick up and I still haven't upjetted my carburetor.
So I wanted to ask if it's safe to keep that Gap? I ride mostly in urban areas. and should I still upjet my carburetor? if yes then what's the stock main jet size? and which size will be sufficient to make fuel optimum?

also, I wanted to know that which ngk iridium spark plug will fit in my engine? can someone give me a model number? and can I get it online?

I'm gonna do more mods soon. will keep you guys updated if anyone have interest. Usually people stop helping when they hear someone modding a scooter. but that's all I have. my parents are against 2 wheelers so I'm not gonna get any new 2 wheeler. so I've decided to Make my current dio a powerful wheelie machine. That's why asking for your help. thanks in advance. any help is appreciated.

I suspect the cone-set (local lingo for steering stem race and bearings) for the first three points
What do you mean by rear tire not responding ? Get it checked for a bad rear wheel bearing.

For the heat, it could very well be normal and you are mistaken calling it over heating. maybe get the fan checked, and ensure correct engine oil level.

As for the engine oil, these scooters are happy with almost any 10w30,10w40 oils. If in doubt just stick to the oil that honda provides (just make sure they change it in-front of you and its from a sealed bottle and not from their drums)
