Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Hi! friends i'm facing a weird problem with my fzs. On hard braking engine stops and it takes long time to start using self start. Hard braking like when you see a speed braker and u just hit brakes suddenly. It feels same as when bike is just on the verge of using reserve.

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Got brake pads, brake shoes and clutch cable changed @ 21000 kms for the first time at ASC .Not changing chain yet though chain at maximum.i went there just for rear brakes shoe. But clutch was too tight when bike was trial run by ASC mechanic,on his recommendation clutch cable was changed and the older one was broken [emoji15] [emoji15] .
Attaching the bill I paid.
Worn out parts pics to follow.
PS:I noticed one disc pad was more worn out than the other.slight khir khir sound coming from brake which was not there.mechanic said it will go away in a few hundred kms.

Tnkz, so going for p150..Originally posted by ramprasadkamineni View PostJust confirmed with the friend who uses the fz
It used give slight jerks initially when the RTR carb was installed and he thought that petrol was in reserve(but it's not)
So the calculation of mileage was wrong
Now it returns around 42-44kmpl with slight loss in initial pick up

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Unless you live in super cold places you're good to go as long as your running temp range is 40 or more.Originally posted by drmjp93 View PostI have FZ S FI 2.0
odo 5660kms
At 3000kms I had changed engine oil at ASC for first time it was yamalube, no idea about grades.
At 5650 I opted for Motul 5100 15W50 although the user manual of bike mentions use of 10w40, which I saw later.
Is it okay? Or its gona hurt engine?
So in short its O.K.

Hii, have check for the mileage again..Originally posted by ramprasadkamineni View PostUpdate on carb:
Replaced the carb with Apache rtr 160 and also the right side switch gear which now accomodates only one accelerator cable. A slight delay in the initial pickup can be felt.
Filled exactly a litre of petrol and mileage was 66
Will check the mileage again and update on it

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
You can use manual water pressure sprayers to clean it is betterOriginally posted by neermsc View Post.........i mean the long pipe running from the engine to the silencer through the underbelly of the bike.......its a bit difficult to clean......but i still try my best!!

Re: Yamaha FZ-16/ FZ-S
Totally, as it doesn't put stress on the already existing electrical system. When focused properly, the beam travels further than the halogen, which is much needed while riding fast on the highways.Originally posted by Aakash Singh View PostYeah but does it worth 1.2 k?
