I thought you own the older one.
Isn't the 140 oil much thicker than the 90 grade oil. Won't it attract more dust in comparison?

Recently i changed my fzs chain sprocket kit (with new bearing and rubber dampeners), but after that i found more vibrations what i got from the old one....

Clutch lever and choke set changed recently,

And gear shift becomes hard and it is difficult to downshift and find neutral when the bike is running,

while it is off i found neutral easily...

I found some kind of stiching sound, i thought it is from time-chain or valves ...

Also these things happens because of bad wornout tyres.... tyre change in schedule...

Please advise... it is preowned 2014 model FZS, odo 21100 kms and oil changed before 500 kms approx...

Bike idles just fine without choke (1200 RPM) and runs without any misfiring. Seems like something is wrong with choke. Will visit a mechanic whenever i can.

There is one peculiar issue i am facing. Please watch the video:

My FZ isn't being used much but i remember that pulling choke used to increase idle RPM to around 1800-2000RPM. Yesterday i noticed that whenever i pull choke, RPM increases to 4500RPM which seem abnormally high. This happens all the time, regardless of engine temperature. What could be the reason?

I placed my fz service in YAMAHA ASC (CHENNAI), they charged:

    My Request for Service:

    1. Chain sprocket set, Rubber Dampeners, Ball Bearings * 2 = 2500
    2. Rear Brake Shoe = 400
    3. Clutch lever = 300

They Advised, they checked and found it needs replacement

    1. Choke set = 600 (Cable + choke Piston)

They told changing the Choke set provides jerk free and fuel efficiency

Is the charges Normal or they Quoted high....

My FZ 2011 (carb) requires tyre replacement. Stock RevZ 140/60 R17 was puncture magnet (micro punctures) which lasted so far due to my lower usage. But i want to replace it now with something more durable. (old tyre was constantly losing pressure since it crossed 10,000kms). I see there are a lot of options in 140/70 size. I want to stick to 140/60 as 140/70 tyre would reduce low end acceleration.

    I wanted to know:

    1. Are new RevZ series tyres from MRF any good?? i don't want to suffer same puncture issues. How is ceat? i see they recently launched a 140/60 size tyre.

    2. I was planning for Masseter/pirelli sport dragon/zapper S for rear 140/70.Will there be a significant reduction in acceleration? Bike is used by my father who uses it in 100% city and wants higher FE. If there will be reduction, will downsizing front sprocket to 13T help?
I have v2 and never faced puncture so far riding on all terrain. So latest mrf does juz fine.

Regarding sprocket, you can go for 41T rear one from v2.
