    Squealing sound coming from engine

I own a yamaha fz 16. She's been with me for abt 45k kms. Now my problem is that when ever i go above 5000 rpm range for a long time there occurs a squealing sound from the bottom side of the engine. It usually occurs after i rode a 10 to 15 kms. It happens also when i downshift too when the engine is hot.
Nb: For a year back my bike was with my brother and he drove her for about 8k kms with out changing the engine oil.
Plz help me... Really worried about whats going on with her.[emoji21]

7100 and 300v would easily last 5+k km. Recommended interval for KTM bikes (7100 comes OEM) with a much more stressed engine used to be 5k km, which they pushed to 7.5k km now. Used to change 7100 at 4.5k km on both FZ and D390 on a safe side.

Yamaha now switched to 10W40 on all bikes except the commuter ones. Now using Yamalube Sporty Premium. Surprisingly good and VFM at 400 per liter and full synthetic. Used to change at 2k (Recommended 3k). Due to time constraints, could not change and crossed 3k km, no harshness or level drop so far (Anyway changing in a day or 2).

(Yamalube SL still comes in 20W40, but Yamaha recommends Optima Prime 10W40 for FZ series).

I installed hazard 4 indicator switch for my Fz. I was wondering if there is a way to turn the lights on, when bike is ON and Engine is OFF, Turns off automatically when Engine is ON, while still able to use the Hazard switch st any condition...

Right now i'm changing oil after every 2400km and oil filter too.

Yeah 300v feels lighter on bike, and 7100 produces less heat fumes around engine but engine feels sluggish with 7100.

So even if you leave the bike unused for months you must change the oil once every six months.

The thing with long drain duration is not possible with the current oil technology for bikes, as they are high revving engines unlike most of the cars. So if you push for 10000 kms per change, you can say goodbye to your engine.

With 50kms per day riding, you can't go over two months, any motorcycle engine oil!

The best oil I've found myself to be happy with is by Motul.

Does anyone have any idea of how to change the choke/starter cable on FZ-S?

I will test it but why this happens only on heavy braking.

On potholes my bike's headlight strucks with mudguard. I want to use motul 20w,bhow much fork oil should i put in one side?
After changing piston kit and when breaking period is over which oil should i use 300v 20w50, 7100 20w50 or 7100 10w50. I want longest drain period and please do tell the drain period.
