    1. with carburetor , will over flow when stand for long time in ON condition
    2. Milege is 30 only where i am expecting 40+

Have review it 2-3 Garage include yamaha show room they are suggesting to change carburetor.

    What is your thought?
kindly help - thanks in advance
Get your carburetor serviced and cleaned. Check for internal damage / rust when opened.

Since the bike was idle, i think the carb. might have taken the beating.

New carb. costs approx. Rs. 3500.

Cone set gone kaput in just a month. Shoddy work by SVC or parts are not upto mark now by Yamaha, not sure.

Rear suspension is absolute hard and can feel a small stone also.

Have you changed the rear suspension?
No, i haven’t changed suspension and i am not going to. I am waiting fot Cbr650r, missed last year. I did change spring of forks but nothing changed, same thud sound on potholes and tyre cupping. Changed oil to motul for thud sound.
I think problem is with Yamaha, i bought rayzr for my dad and after a month, he started facing ghost steering on uneven road. I never faced this kind of problem even on 8 years Honda maintained like shit. One more thing Yamaha SVC Guy also suggested me to change wheels(rim). They just keep shooting in dark.

Get your wheels aligned and check for wheel out.

Check the bearings, swing arm bush, chain sprocket condition, rubber part inside the rear wheel.

May be your rear suspension has gone soft, i am currently on same boat(7.5 yrs) and it jumps like pogo stick and on un even road feels like ghost is steering her.

Anybody can help and highlight the real cause?

Guys this is regarding yamaha fz v2. I've been using fz for almost 5 years now. I changed my tyres to Michelin 140/70( rear) when my bike clocked around 26000 kms. Now it's 60000kms and now I've started getting issues. I took my bike to the yamaha service center and they are telling that the shock absorber is gone along with drive axil and the chain and socket also need to be replaced.they blame everything on the upgrades tyre. Is it true should I change back to the stock 140/60 ? Guys who know please help

Showroom gave an estimate of rs 15000

Changed air filter little better but issue still persists

    Thank you
The fuel cap breather hole may be clogged. Please check with a very good mechanic and use any cleaner spray to clean the hole.
Otherwise, check Spark Plug color, if it is dry ash build up (lean mixture), then tune it properly ( counter clockwise 3 turns from locked point of fuel screw).

Take a good mechanic along with you if you are that much knowledgeable about the bike.
    1) Inspect cold start up revving for white-gray smoke.
    2) Check Tyre usage & Odo Reading, Normally Front tyre wears up to groove in about 30-35k kms.
    3) Check the bike is cold or warm, if warm, check next morning how the battery/self works.
    4) Take a ride, at about 60kmph, leave the handle for checking any wobbles, then at 20kmph, take a sudden stop for checking cone set .
    5) Also Disc Plate wearing is okay or beyong normal.

PEA or polyetheramine is one of the good fuel additives to clean up carbon deposits inside fuel system. It may feel like a placebo, but actually it is good for engine life.
