i am using the same PR3 180/55 in mine and works fine. you can alternatively look at timsum tyres ( timsun.in) they have both 160/65 and 180/55 options and a re VFM however not meant for high speed riding.

amaron 9Ah workd just fine. the CCA is bit less than the OEM yuasa but for 1700 bucks its perfect. change every 2.5 years.

    Hi,

    I'm about to buy 2016 Ninja 650R Non-ABS ODO-5500kms for 3.6L.
    Is it a good deal?
If yes, kindly suggest PDI checkpoints for used bike. i'm new to super-bike category and have no knowledge regarding inspection and all.

    Please shade some light here.

Also I own Hero Impulse for my touring purpose and off-road fun. Also used Dominar 400 for touring needs. So upgrading to 650cc bike is big deal for me.
before I dig into user manual, any advise on maintaining bike or purchasing aftermarket accessories will be helpful.

If you want 160 section tire.. you can check on the Pirelli Angel GT.. comes in 120 for the front and 160/180 for the rear.. comes with both the specs.

I am using 180 section tires on my 650 for the last 17k kms and i never felt any loss in performance or flickability..
Being Adventure tourer I always used block tread pattern tyres for touring as well as commute, even on Dominar I fitted metzelers Tourance Dual sport tyres.
I do like the dual sport tyres, as they improves stability on bad roads or braking on sandy/gravels. It wont skid on gravels/ wet roads as much as normal street tyres.
    this is what I've experienced.

But N650R being a sport tourer, is it a good call to fit something like Dual sport tyres on it.

E.g. Pirelli MT60 RS (Pic below)

Any advice before buying N650R is appreciated.

Can anyone suggest which tire to get and from where should I get it changed in Delhi NCR?

I mean I don't ride hoolgan way. I am a straight line highway rider and ride with ease. What I'm looking foris not a soft compound. Hard compound will Also work.

    Thanks

I am told you need to do a 6 monthly or so "touch up" which costs in the region of Rs. 500. The initial cost is around Rs. 7k for a Ninja 650. I will post my observations and pictures once I get it done. I am getting it done in Mumbai at a place that came highly recommended.
All the best mate, pls do share your observations and pictures...

    * It won't last many years, if you take care, the actual life is 1+ year
    * The actual solution is not so expensive, the process only making it complex.
    * Bike needed a neat cleaning and surface adjustment prior to the coating, this is a long process considering your bike paint condition.
    * Once the glass coat applied it's need 10-12 hours to settle down, any mistakes happened at this stage will be like a stamp mark on the paint. So definitely they need a paint booth or something where they can leave bike after the glass coating.
    * This is not a permanent solution, so similar like tufflon coating you need a maintenance process to follow.

I had a few more questions:

    1. ANZEN is offering something called the “ANZEN Glass coating” for Rs. 9900. I am told this is a multi-layer “ceramic” coat for paint protection. It adds 0.3mm thick layer over the paint and all plastics. I believe its applied as a spray on which later solidifies (?). This lasts 3-5 years. Can someone please comment on this and if the 3M paint protection is a better/equally effective option and if it is easier on the wallet.

    2. ANZEN is offering following R&G safety accessories bundle for Rs. 26000. Is this reasonable.
    a. Frame sliders
    b. Swing Arm spool
    c. Front axle sliders
    d. Radiator guard
    e. Tank pad
    f. Paddock stand

    3. ANZEN is offering a service plan for Rs. 27500 which includes 5 services (including the first service @1000km) and is valid for 2 years. Is this worth buying or its better to pay as you go.
