    @crvlvr:
I asked the same question as you about test drives. keep us posted if you hear anything.

Id been to the showroom on Rajkumar Road. They said they have begun deliveries and green & orange is readily available. They had 4 or 5 bikes on display on the floor. There is a waiting period for black and red. Blue is not available. Too bad because it looked the best.

The price was 80000 odd if I remember right, not 82k. Though I did not ask about extended warranty or the hero goodlife card. Perhaps they make up the 2000 rupees difference between my quote and yours.

well you can save near about Rs.1000+ if you do the registration and insurance by yourself like i done when i brought my yamaha R15 V.1 its cost me in total Rs103000/-. Good choice for tripura Road the Impluse congrats for the new bike but feels like the open chain need to lube regularly because it a first bike in hero moto (hero honda) family with open chain plus rear suspension area will splash the dirt and mud to both the rider and pillion due to lot of open area ???????
Thanx bro. impulse is almost a dirt bike, so i think it will look better when its dirty. just joking. but if getting dirty had been my concern then i would have bought super splender

Big time congratulation on becoming owner of "Never Say No" bike . Please let us know about your first impression on initial rides. Did you also remove the saree guard???

Glass wool is normally being filled in free flow exhaust. I doubt about the knowledge of the saleman. The exhaust heat is being protected by the protector shield that the exhaust has.

Power is something you know - the more, the better. But more power means, more fuel consuption. Though I am going to do lot of off road but still 80% of the time my bike is going to be on the roads only. I am happy with the right combination of power and FE of Impulse.

There is big list of items that the bike does not have - ABS, FI, Rear Disk Brake, DC supply, HID with projector, Charger socket, remote starts, free flow exhaust, tube less tyres on spoke wheels etc etc. I will love if Hero Motto could provide all these wish things in the same price. Come on, I should be realistic .

Well point. Since it is the first bike of Hero Honda/Motto with open chain, it need to be regularly lubed. Did you not heard that the sibling of Impulse, Honda NXR 150 Bros has proven well in Brazil since a few years.

Glass wool is also found in stock exhausts. The purpose of it is to dampen the exhaust sound.

@NarenCharan- thanx bro. on next day of delivery I took a 150km ride, which cosisted of straight highway, zigzag curves on hilly area and also some dusty and broken roads. All i can say is that it was awsome and extremely comfortable. It has high potential of being a good touring bike. Engine is super smooth even without a single servicing. But only concern is about tyres. As they are not tubeless i have fear what will happen if there is a puncture. NarenCharan, in which speed and in which rev range should i keep the bike during run in period?

Realistic? Its more fun being optimistic and dreaming and drooling over stuff you'll never realistically get. Its more fun being pessimistic and bashing and flaming things up for no realistic reason.

Jokes apart....I was merely reporting what the dealer said. For the benefit, if any, of the community; for comaprisons and all that. But I dont understand why no center stand!

BTW, awesome terrain in your photographs. I can only imagine the fun youre having and curse and lament the lack of dirtyness in my environs(apart from overflowing manholes, clogged drains, dusty air and occasional ho0k3rs).

I can not advice for something I do not do. I read a lot a about the ideal run in period riding and finally decided to ride it the way I normally ride. But good if you can go for changing the engine oil, many people have suggested this on different forums. I got the engine oil changed just after 90 KM.

Yes, I am really lucky. That trail has everything what you need for off roading (except mud) and is hardly 20 KM from my home.

The biggest reason for no center stand is "because Honda NXR 150 Bros also does not have" .

I think center stand will not only increase the weight of the bike but also will make noice during off roading.

                        2. Are the optional knuckel guard available with any dealer??? How much???

                        3. How much power is expected to increase by puting a free flow exhaust???
