  • @all: pardon my intrusion.

    @sreerama
: Think about it. If the guy is selling off the bike within a month, there might be a chance that there is something wrong with the bike. If its someone you know well, then you can probably go ahead with it.

Is there a significant difference between the price of a one month old impulse and a new one? You could just as well go for a new one for a little more over what you'd be paying for the used one.

    • Thanks for your replies guys. Let me verify the documents of the bike. The seller is expecting 63. He says he bought it for 79 & 2k for fancy number.

you are already paying 63k,go get a new one.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
        #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

        • So let me also check with the Hero show room guys today regarding the new bike.

I really like the comfort but as i am using r15, the power seems to be low & torque also seems to be less when compared with unicorn as i previously owned unicorn for 4yrs 40k kms ridden. I think i would be able to change swap the gears from its cousin's as the gearing from 1st to 2nd is very huge!

True to every word! The bike is just perfect for commuting on Indian roads. The riding stance doesn't load any of the body joints, one can adjust the posture to their taste. And as Nilay mentioned, yes, this can outperform R15 in city traffic- given the rider is skilled. Because of its agility and quick low end, the bike did spoil my road manners! I used to be a conservative rider earlier. But this bike, with its capabilities, seduces the rider to zip-zap through traffic. Road or no road, it rides the same.

After getting used to high stance of the bike, now all regular bikes feel puny to ride. Its like driving small cars after driving an SUV.

              • Comparison of gear ratios between NXR150 and Impulse:

It can be seen that rear sprocket of NXR has 49 teeth and Impulse has 50 teeth sprocket. Also, the first gear is quite high and except 5th all others are lower. Don't know why hero engineers choose to alter the gear box while copying the rest of the design.

                • I think Hero has completely screwed up the gear ratios on this great bike. Thanks for sharing the info Endurance.

                    • Urgent advice needed! My rear tyre wobbles

                      Hi Friends,

Just today I observed that my rear tyre wobbles slightly. I observed this while I was following my cousin while he is riding my Impulse. Otherwise there is no perceptible difference while am riding the bike. Never felt the wobble even at high speeds or cornering. Saw it only while I followed it on another bike.

Is this some significant problem? I tightened the rear axle and checked alignment indicators on both sides. Still this slight wobble exist.
                      What should I do?

                        • Just out of the Curiosity, i havent seen many impulses on the road, Any reason why ??,

By what i feel, and have heard, its to do with the saddle height, people are shying away because of the height. Dont know why most of the people want to keep both their feet resting on ground while standing or stopping.... Its a nice bike and actually its decently priced too, (the premium that you pay is decent for the suspension and the design.)

I am somewhat happy that this hasnt become yet another Janta Bike !!

time your rim alignment is checked. tyre is removed and rim will be adjusted by tensioning / loosening the spokes. this is how wobble can be corrected on spoked rim. easy job but for an expert.

You can only go as fast as you can brake!

I am eagerly waiting for an answer from experts. Is it too weird to thinking swapping of engine to ZMA??? Has anybody ever upgraded the whole engine on a bike??
