Now, I don't remember which way I turned it to lower the beam but do this:
Do this in evening just after sunset and against a wall at some good distance for best results.
Take help of a friend or family member. Start the bike in neutral, switch on the headlight (high beam). Ask your helper to hold the bike straight. Observe where the high beam falls on the wall.
Now take a philips (star type) screw driver and turn this adjustment screw two full turns clockwise. Check if the beam position on the wall is lowered. If not then turn the screw anticlock wise( my guess is that clockwise lowers the beam but I don't remember, so just try it first).
Now, depending on the distance to wall, you will have to guess how much to lower the beam. So, keep adjusting the screw untill you get the beam lowered to desired position. Now go for test ride and check the focus and your comfort with it. If needed, repeat the adjustment.
And don't forget to thank your helper for holding the bike , you will need them frequently.
(If you are doing this at night, you will be blinded by the head light and it is tougher to work on the screw. So do it in evening while still some ambient light is left).

thanks buddy u are a real life saver i am gonna try it tomm. evening itself, i just hope it works
and plz keep on posting such great ideas it helps impulse owners like us in a big way

      • some of this pics are taken when i first went to the showroom to check out the bike , i was too impressed and booked it right away, i got my bike on 13th jan 2012, so the impulse in green was the one standing at the showroom.

some of the group photos were taken during our trip to alibaug, and that's when i reached the top speed of 121 kmph, unbelieveable as it may seem i didnt notice it at first but only after my frnd shouted at me to slow down, i noticed the speed on my speedometer . after that incident i have never tried to go beyond 90 kmph.

Are you riding down an incline when you saw those unbelievable speedo figures. On plains, no way that Impulse can go any thing beyond 105 Kmph stock.

It is very much feasible since the leaver is directly connected to gear box without any extension rod (as it is in CBZ/Karizma). So, all you need is to find a toe-heel shift lever that can fit onto the gear box shaft( match hole and screw thread of the current toe shift lever ).

If everything else fails, then you can buy a splendor lever, get it cut to half and get the rear part of it welded to current one. And paint it to black to hide the welding.

            • the specs/brochure says the rear shock has nitrox , but I failed to find one on the bike. does anyone know where it is?

I also rode the bike two up on a bad off road dusty bumpy section. I was easily doing 60-70 kmph and the bike was super comfy , even for the pillion.

Has anyone tried any kind of mods on the impulse?
Have anyone of you thought about putting some other powerful engine on to it?

yes the road was a bit of a slope but when i saw the speedo it was on a highway and i was riding in the same condition for 15 mins with full acceleration on fifth gear.

                              • i dont know much about suspensions ... i know that front have oil+spring damping , rear (pulsar , HH , bullet) has gas damping , and u can see a canister for that

even the sbk's which have gas damping (like rsv4 and dorsoduro) have piggyback canisters with ohilins written on them
