They are the worst of all... Total soft compound. Gets punctured easily.

Actually in our condition it's better to opt for an alternative. Tyres usually have a shelf life of 6 years and in our case the original ceats were manufactured in 2011. So though it is new and unused, the stock tyres have already lost its useful life. Now they will tend to create side wall cracks and their rubber properties would have already changed.

exactly same happened to my CEAT front stock tyre. I was able to procure the same stock tyre in Pune and it was 2011 MFG. after 2-3 months or 2000-3000 kms side wall treads/blocks were tearing apart. cracks were all over the side walls. Also to add more chaos while riding whenever i lean into corner front losses grip suddenly due to degraded rubber.
same happened with rear stock as well.

Next when u change ur tyres (in general anybody who change any tyres), before fitting into ur vehicle check the manufacture year code. It's a 4 digit number in a Oval box available in each and every tyres. The first two digit denotes the week of manufacturer and the 3rd and 4th digit denotes the year of manufacturer. At any cost try to avoid tyres made 3 years before. This is the reason u must avoid online purchase of tyres as they mostly sell their old stocks.
