      Hello all,
been a long time since I visited this site. Mrsdey amazing photishop skills man.it looks so real.
I was actually planning to do a touring kit for my st7 since a long time. Very recently ( that was seven months ago) i got my hands on a HD with ultra touring kit installed. Since then I was basically planning to do the whole kit ( trunk and hard saddlebags).I was just amazed by the pricing of the same on net n frustrated about not finding a source in india.
so I pushed ahead n did a little myself. I will post some pics by evening today n let's see where it goes from there

My first attempt at getting the trunk with backrest for my st7.
Will post more images of the design n progress tomorrow.
This image shows the left and right trunk brackets being prepped for trial installation on my bike.

Tested on the bike n it's a perfect fit. These supports may look big....but wait till the whole package is done.
          Will update more soon

Just thought will add pictures of my mod. I did the design and let the seat guy do it. The rider backrest is detachable and height adjustable. Was unable to do the armrest, but will try again later. Cost me 5-6k and the comfort is about 100x better especially on long roads. Just did 1300 km in 2 days - Goa - and didn't have any backpain. Last Goa trip, done over 5 days, still had backpain.

Here's a little something. Took a detour from my saddle bag n trunk project and ended with a tail gunner version of my own.
Since I cannot be using Tailgunner (it's registered with the us), I have aptly named it the AzzGunner.
Below are a few images while in production.

Whole build is made of Aircraft grade Aluminium T6065. I have designed it, such that the existing silencers need not be altered in anyway. All I have to do is to remove the end caps of the silencer ( as in the pic below). N use my new contraption.
                      Simple!!!!!!

                      Before

                      After

Currently the AzzGunner is in paint booth.
Will post pics of the same by tomorrow.
The whole build took me 3 days from design to production n dented my pocket by 8k excluding the paint job.
                      Materials used
                      Aluminum T6065 for all parts.
                      Main shaft - Stainless Steel
Bearings from Skf- priced at 280rs each. ( rated 12000rpm)
Process: A combination of cnc turning and milling.
Welding : Miller TIG Welding Machine.

Just received the AzzGunner from paint. Was really impressed by how it turned out.

Will assemble it tomorrow and will post a video.

Looks fabulous. How's the sound? If its anything like the tailgunner, I can probably hear you when you start your bike anywhere in Bangalore.

So, how do I get one for my bike?

                                Sure would do it.
Just returned from a 800km trip. Did not find time to make video. Installed it in a hurry n left.
                                Problems with AzzGunner!!!!
The bearing siezed and the gunner was stuck. Realized that the bearing cannot withstand the extreme temperature.
Will now contact the bearing supplier to send me a suitable one. Now if he sends the bearing with the same dimensions as before, then ok....or else redesign n go through the manufacturing process n painting process again.
This may now take come time
