Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I am facing some problem with ABS. My ABS will keep on on speeds even after 20 km. When i engage clutch i could see 0 in my speedometer when ABS light is on. Recently i got it changed from Service center as per their recommendation after 2 weeks again same problem. I just completed 250 KM ride in this ride i am unable to see speed on speedometer its started showing 0 and shows some numbers which doesnt match the speed.
Dont know what could be the problem. All this started when i kept my bike alone in lockdown for 80 days without touching. please help me
Its 2019 model driven only 3450kmLast edited by praveencs532; 10-13-2020, 02:33 PM.

Can you elaborate on what was replaced at the SVC and what was their prognosis?Originally posted by praveencs532 View PostI am facing some problem with ABS. The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
This experience is not related to anything already disclosed (to my knowledge)
- I was on a trip to Malshej after lockdown opened, and it was my first ride. I had used the motorcycle sparingly during the lockdown - close to 5 months - but no major usage. As I was on the ride, my fellow bikes noticed there was smoke coming from the left side panel of my bike. We stopped and investigated to find that my rectifier was burning up. We disconnected it and I took it to service to get it replaced. Has this happened with anyone else and what could be the cause for this?
Thanks in advance

i have clocked ~85K kms on 2014 NS. now I have started feeling power loss. it struggles at 90kmph till 120(new top end).
struggles in climbs specially with pillion.
sometimes it stops while riding as I'd compression is lost and takes some efforts to get started.
work done mentioned in reverse chronological order:
1. wheel and sprocket bearings and air filter replaced (1K kms)
2. chain sprocket replaced (2K kms)
3. carburettor replaced (4K kms) 3. clutch assembly replaced (10 K kms)
4. valve clearance adjusted (20K kms)
no white smoke or oil deposit in exhaust.
returns 35kmpl
checked timing chain tension. looks good.
please suggest what else should I check or replace in order to regain the lost power.
Thanks.

85k kms on stock piston/cylinder kit!!?!!Originally posted by powerShift View Postsometimes it stops while riding as I'd compression is lost and takes some efforts to get started.
You've mentioned compression loss and starting trouble. Sings of any oil deposits on spark plug?
Please post a pic of spark plug any one out of 3 spark plugs.
Step 1 is to that you can first to get a compression test done. Check if the cylinder holds 8-10bar pressure during compression test when you have full throttle opened(IMPORTANT to have full throttle open when you hit the starter button during the test).
If you get results falls 4-7bar, then definitely it might indicate wear in piston rings and they've fully expanded or worn out scored piston/walls.
If compression is fine within 8-10bar, then problem could be something else to look at next.Bajaj SuperFE 150 - Forever in my heart

Hello,
I own the 2018 NS200 non abs. Since the day I bought the bike, I've been facing this issue where the bike would really struggle to go above 6.5k-7k rpm at higher gears. For riding in city and crowded areas the bike would run fine since I'm not usually going at high revs, but, riding on highways is a huge struggle.
If I accelerate the bike to 9k rpm withing the first 3 gears and try to maintain the rpm at gears above, on disengaging the throttle for an instance, the bike would go back to 6k rpm and lock in there. Even pulling the throttle wide open wont help. This locks me on highways on 6th gear at merely 85kmph despite its actual capacity being more than that. Its been 2 years I've been trying to find a solution for this. Neither could the mechanic at bajaj's authorised service center nor could any local mechanic help me or atleast even address the cause. It'd be great if someone helped me out!
TIA.

It is most probably a fault with the diaphragm in the carburettor. I think the item is called "Throttle slider assembly". Change this assembly and see if your issue is solved. CheersOriginally posted by n3gativ View PostHello,

I'm dont know if theres anything called throttle slider assembly in the carb. I will ask my mechanic for it though. Thanks!Originally posted by krixna View Post

Hello before I post my issue I want to clear that I am an owner of AS200 and not NS200 but the forums for AS200 have gone cold hence Im here with my issue. Since both bikes are mechanically identical with a few changes of course I want to ask for help.
My bike has done over 40k kms since 2016 Jan. Bike is currently running on motul 7100. Have changed one set of tyres and bike has been periodically serviced In the last service 1000kms ago coolent was changed for the first time and the usual service was done.
from that point onwards my bike has been having starting and heating issues. Earlier my bike would start with just a touch of button even half a self now i have to hold n crank the engine to life. I have tried increasing idling screw but only thing it does is increase idling rpm over 2000
Second issue is that once driving through mountains my bike stalled n refused to start for 10 minutes later it started working fine but recently i have observed radiator fan is on even when bike is idling n I guess when bike stalled it had overheated.
Coolent levels are normal n i checked the radiator fins they are very hot so the heat is being transferred to radiator so no issue with coolent pump. Mechanics still are not able to identify the issue.
Could the bikes starting issue and overheating indicate the bike is running lean or should i look elsewhere.
Bike has been running terribly rough for the past few 1000 kms.

Late cranking could indicate one the below things:Originally posted by Anubhav M View PostBike has been running terribly rough for the past few 1000 kms.
1) Out of the 3 spark plugs and Ignition coils, one of them have failed and might not be functioning at 100% efficacy. When was all 3 spark plug changed last time?
2) Oil inside cylinder, please post pics of all 3 spark plugs and what is the color of the spark plug tip?
3) Low compression, maybe due to weak piston rings - Get a compression test done
4) Bad valve clearances or timing is off - If so get the valve clearances adjusted and timing chain replaced
5) Get the Carb/Throttle body fully cleaned using injector cleaners

Will post the pics of spark plugs tomorrow but in the last service all three plugs were changed n there was no oil residue on the plugs or around the threads.Originally posted by kiran2508 View Post

I cant say about all three plugs because master plug is embedded inside and not accessible but the two secondary plugs are working with good constant sparks.
Last svc tappets were adjusted on a cold engine with proper filler gauge. Timing chain was inspected and was oked by the svc mechanic.
Is it ok to get the carb pulled out and cleaned . It was a big pain nd hit and miss tuning that got me the best mileage and power couple of years back.
whenever I get the faring removed for changing filter I get liberal with changing parts like spark plugs, cables etc as removing the fairing again and again is a big headache with this bike.Last edited by Anubhav M; 05-25-2021, 12:46 AM.

If everything has been replaced externally, and valve job done and timing kit changed the only option left is to check the piston and cylinder. Use a borescope and inspect them. Unless SVC messed up valve job and timing replacementOriginally posted by Anubhav M View Postwhenever I get the faring removed for changing filter I get liberal with changing parts like spark plugs, cables etc as removing the fairing again and again is a big headache with this bike.
Losing compression only associates with these, 40k kms is ideal kms where piston rings become weak or cylinder walls beginning to develop skore marks.
You might need to get only the piston rings changed or the who cylinder assembly based on the condition.
All the best.
