    • Headlight change for ns 200

Can the ns 200 2017v Headlights be changed to Led units ? The stock Headlights don't provide as much lumination as the led ones . Also white Leds will look beautiful on the black ns 200 . Should/can I change my stock Headlights? If so , please help me select one .

Yes upto 2013 Rev limiter act as reserve indicator. From 2014 version it was made dedicated for Rev limit and the fuel symbol in instrument cluster starts blinking.

Only the old owners knows how annoying it was [emoji23]

I have this exact problem with my new bike, it goes towards left if a leave handle bars a little. Anybody has any suggestions?
I have checked with local and service center mechanics , they said that cone set is good, wheel alignment is good, can this be a fork problem? are forks replaceable under warranty?

I have the same problem and its a week old bike.If this is not a wheel alignment problem then this is definitely a fork alignment issue.Loosen the pinch bolt of the lower triple tree and compress the forks a few times this should level the fork alignments and then tighten the pinch bolts.Ask your SA to do this in the first service.

Hi all, I have a question regarding the AFR tuning on the bs4 NS. Right now I'm getting 21kmpl on 1.5 turns anti clockwise from full close position. Here full close means turning the AFR in clockwise until the bike stalls and then turning 1.5 -360degree turns in anti clockwise. Is this the correct setting or am I doing something wrong?

Yes you are doing it wrong. Full close means anti-clock wise and then turn clock wise. NS200 has VCS (volume control screw) not the AFR screw. Tunning NS200 carb be like..

                  1) heat up the engine (dont rev it, just keep it idle for 10-15 min)
                  2) start the process by setting the idle at 4k rpm
                  3) cut off the engine and full close VCS screw
                  4) start the engine and open the screw turn by turn i.e 1 turn clock wise at a time. (Clock wise will make your engine leaner and anti-clock wise richer)
                  5) keep checking for rpm lag while you open the screw (it should not lag)
                  6) be careful not to keep VCS full close nor full open, you should keep the balance of both.

According to my experience, i have AS200 and i have my VCS 3.5 turn open after full close. I have tried 2.5, 3.5, 4.5.... till 6.5 and best mixture was 3.5. its giving me an average of 39km/ltr

Lean means - less fuel, more air, smooth ride, slightly increase in average.
Rich means - more fuel, less air, stiff ride, decrease in average.

I hope this solves your issue and let me know what are the results.. best of luck !

You r doing it right , just check all the iterations , i.e. 2.5 , 3.5 ... so on turns & stop where it feels perfect .[emoji106]

this is wrong , clockwise is tightening , anticlockwise is loosening , it is same as any screw thread

Now my has completely lost straight line stability. It feels as if the bike is always a little tilted towards right and while turning right, the rear of the bike tends to slip. Rear shock absorber of the bike is also leaking. Please help me what to do.
I am too facing similar issue and have checked with couple of SVCs and they say bike is normal, but I certainly feel it is not fine and something is wrong. This all started after latest cone set replacement done 5-6 months ago. The SVC guy had over tightened it and when I questioned it, they said it will become normal in few days. But it didn't. I feel like bike will drop while turning and also doesn't feel like going in straight line specially on wet surface( even if mildly wet, feels like rear tyre will get skid). Doubting the rear tyre, i got it changed too but still the issue is same. I also got the cone set little loosened up, it got lil better but i guess now the cone set is spoiled, since by tightening it by a inch it becomes too tight and loosening a little makes kat-kat noise on hard braking and potholes. Also on uneven surface of the road , the bike gets so unstable and handles like boat. This wasn't the case earlier. Bike front also wobbles little at speed of 40-45 and 60-65 kmph, can it be any fork (bend) issues?

Also there is a pattern to this, rear tyre feels little left of the front tyre in straight line and rear tyre feels like always skidding towards left of the bike on wet surface. On dry surface it feels alright. May be something wrong with wheel allignment too but according to SVC and tyre shops there is no wheel alignment in bikes and i know that they are speaking crap. Need some good mechanic in Pune soon as monsoons will be here soon.

Plz help as to what could be the issue.

I doubt Bajaj SVCs use torque wrenches even for engine components. The mechanic probably stripped the thread off the lower clamp pinch bolt.Your problem could be fork misalignment.Loosen the pinch bolts of the lower clamp and push the shock down perpendicularly a few times to align the forks and then retighten the bolts again if possible with a torque wrench.See if it solves the problem.

How does the motorcycle respond when you counter steer? If she kicks back then your fork is bent.

Is there any engine issues or major complaints in new BS4 NS when compared to the old NS.

Is there any difference in camshaft and rocker arm in new NS?

one mechanic told me that "There are some major issues like premature wear of engine parts. And to solve that we need to replace the factory fitted parts like rocker arm,cam shaft with the same of old NS".

He also said that we need to delete the egr in new NS. Also added that there are carburettor issues like premature diaphragm wear. It will worn out in just 10k kilometres in new NS.

He claims that doing all these will improve fuel efficiency and power.

Is that claims are true?. expecting valuable replies from experienced owners
                                Thanks in advance 🤞
