How is your bike running? Is the New Lot NS better in quality as compared to the first lots?

My Bike is suffering from the following problems -
    1. Triple Clamp or Fork bent - handle goes to right (how this happened remains a mystery). Till now no service center has been able to correct it
    2. Heat Shield at the exhaust outlet is vibrating like hell and makes a loud noise. Bolts Jammed need to get it out somehow
    3. Carb Issue
    4. Vibrations Everywhere

No, i havent checked with them. Will speak to Manohar on this issue
Hi Aashish i got my NS200 2018 model and facing the same issue mentioned in point number 1. How did you manage to rectify and what went wrong? Was it the fork bent or Triple Clamp? Could you please share what you did exactly to solve the problem so that i can "advice" the Advisors at Sai Service Andheri workshop to help me. I have dropped mails to Bajaj and visited the ASC 4 times since February but to no avail. They just say that "everything is ok".

      Hello,
Posting on Xbhp after a looong time

      My answer below -

How did you manage to rectify?
Changed ever part possible from Fork to triple clamps to what not. Result - ZERO!

      What went wrong?
The cause remains a mystery which no one could find out.

Could you please share what you did exactly to solve the problem
After countless visits to service centre they could not solve the problem. All R&D was done on my bike by mechanics but nothing happened. As per them it was alright although by service incharge being close friend agreed that there was problem and Engineers from Bajaj were called.

The comany engineers failed as well and lacked professionalism while dealing with customer. Even the zonal manager was least bothered, rude and most unprofessional person and i had to go through a ordeal.

Eventually I stopped using the bike as i had back problem and arm muscle problem to due to the bike and switched to my car on doctor's advise. Sold off the bike later on and never regret the decison to date. No more Bajaj in my garage.

      Good luck to you man.

Actually not very surprised to see that 2018 model suffers from same quality issues like the very first lot. Bajaj has come a long way BUT not there yet.

I am facing the same issue of handlebar tilting towards the right, its NS200 2018 model. If you find any solution to this problem please suggest in the forum as the reply i receive from Bajaj ASC is "everything is ok"

I got my rear shock absorber changed , i wished for cone set replacement too but bajaj ASC guys said its fine. Now the problem is solved 50%. Buying a bajaj is crap from what i learned. Even the mechanic who replaced my shock absorber at bajaj said that bike is perfectly fine and i am wasting money on shock absorber.

Did compressing the forks solve the issue? I saw a video online where the buy is holding the front tyre after the bolts are loose and trying to twist the handle to get it straight, similar to what we used to do with our bicycles after a fall.

I believe many are facing the same problem with either the forks of triple clamp. Are you servicing your bike at a local mechanic or only at the service centre?

This is how an experienced person's reply looks like!! Did you visit any local mechanic for the forks and triple clamp?

Hi, Guys .. well I own a NS200 2017 BS4 version and it's been a year and driven around 18000kms and I never noticed this problem before, but somehow I face a powerdrop near 7000rpm.. or even when I'm shifting from 5th to 6th gear.. it so does happen that while going on a speed of 96/97kmph while climbing a empty flyover.. the speed starts to decrease and comes down to 85 to 84.. I've also noticed such a thing happen only when it touches 90kmph.. it's behaves like it's gasping for power and as soon slowly slowly it touches 100kmph it shoots like rocket 115 - 120 kmph... Can anyone please tell me what kinda problem is this..!!! What can be the reason for power loss at that range(speed).... Please advice.. been to Bajaj SVC but nothing works...

It's the infamous flat spot that many NS owners face.

Nah, not exactly. When you don't get pick up in the initial gears, you replace the wornout clutch plates. Google "flat spot/acceleration lag at certain rpm NS 200". There's a much bigger issue.

My first post on Xbhp.. Since i was a member...done 70k plus on my 2014 ns 200. Got carb replace twice, once on 23k.. i started getting flat spots in the same range as yours at 18k.
And second one around 60k. Actually the slide gets glazing marks and becomes rough actually interfering in smooth functioning of carb. Only replacing slide will not benefit in long run as carb sleeve also gets worn out. To get some relief you can try using petrol additives like Addon or System G. Also get the rubber connector between carb and engine intake checked for cracks and get it tightened properly.

In short get the carb changed after getting the slide inspected at Service center. This should help you or anyone else facing this issue get over with it and enjoy your ride.
