Did you mean water pump ?Originally posted by Ajayaju View PostCheck your oil pump. It might be the problem. Because if the oil pump isn't working then the coolant won't circulate around the water jackets in the engine. Check the oil pump asap.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi Everyone, this is my first post in this forum. I own a 2017 NS 200. Everything is good so far but recently I found the bike hasitate to pull beyond 100 kmph. I have visited 2 different Bajaj ASC & reported this matter but they are unable to digonise this problem.
So what could be the culprit of the Flat Spot? Midrange is still punchy,no throttle lag observed.
Your valuable suggestions Please.

Check the clutch plates. They might be worn out.Originally posted by SAM_46 View PostHi Everyone, this is my first post in this forum. I own a 2017 NS 200. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
It won't be the cause I guess. Upto 6000rpm pickup is liner. In 5ft cog if pulls upto redline but if I shift to 6 the acceleration decreases gradually. Air filter changed recently so there is no chance of lean AFR ratio. Economy is something between 33-36(city+highway).Originally posted by Ajayaju View PostCheck the clutch plates. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Bro 6th gear is for cruising. If you shift to 6th gear soon then the power delivery will not be linear. I've seen many people complain about the same issue like bike struggles to go beyond 100kmph and so on. But their solution was to replace the clutch plates. Please check the clutch plates bro.Originally posted by SAM_46 View PostIt won't be the cause I guess. Upto 6000rpm pickup is liner. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
i mixed motul 3100gold 20w50 with 200 ml dtsi 1000 20w50..i think our ns needs little more than 1200ml engine oil. because the motul i used was 1.15 litter bottle and my engine oil was hardly at the bottom level in this morning. after filling the oil i only ride 1km to my home and bike was in rest for more than 9hours.so after chacking it in the morning i filled in extra 200ml oil. fhan only it reached the first mark.Originally posted by vvk1999 View PostNo , provided you mixed same grade oils , i.e. 20w50

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I think it's better to go with Motul 7100 20W50. Don't ruin your engine by using this cheap, below average Bajaj dtsi oil. It gives up after 1000 km. 300v is overkill for this kind of single cylinder engine.Originally posted by Partha Luna Gogoi View Posti mixed motul 3100gold 20w50 with 200 ml dtsi 1000 20w50..i think our ns needs little more than 1200ml engine oil. because the motul i used was 1.15 litter bottle and my engine oil was hardly at the bottom level in this morning. after filling the oil i only ride 1km to my home and bike was in rest for more than 9hours.so after chacking it in the morning i filled in extra 200ml oil. fhan only it reached the first mark.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Second service schedule is in between 4500-5000 km. For service time interval please refer owner manual. For first few k Kms you should have stick to the Bajaj dtsi oil. Using other brand oil might void your warranty. Have Anyone had such kind of experience? Anyway I am using motul 7100 since 5k odo.Originally posted by Partha Luna Gogoi View Postmy daily run is only 16km from my home to my office.. i am thinking of pouring motul 5100 in 2nd servicing. i bought my ns on 28th april, can you tell me when will be my 2nd servicing?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Bro, I always have this problem occassionally. 2017 NS200 has an extra sensitive carb. First sign was at 7000kms, got it fixed with a carb clean and retuning last week but one, 11k Odo, then it can back after a week, carb clean again and it's gone.Originally posted by SAM_46 View PostHi Everyone, this is my first post in this forum. First time it happened, bike wouldn't pull much past 100, and if I rode on 5th gear till 110kph, shifting to 6th would see the speed drop to 92kph. 92 became new cruising speed.
Second time round, wouldn't go past 70kph during a ride uphill. Anyway, I'd say just clean the system, should be okay.
P.S. it's not your clutch.
Also, If it's this happens again, you had best start taking notes in how to open your carb, since you might need to do it a lot. And it gets expensive.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
While riding yesterday in Hills, the clutch wire of NS broke, bike has done 22k kms and is 4 year old. i wasnt expecting it to break though, have seen clutch and decompressor wires of enfield breaking , so this was a new experience.
Roadside mechanic fixed it with a jugad though, total cost 40rs INR
one question:- shall i go for carb cleaning? Bike has no issues but i have a carb cleaner bottle lying unsed so
i am also thinking to get the air filter cleaned as the Shimla road is so dusty and i was covered in dust by the time i returned. it is royal pain to get the Air filter cleaned though. Showroom people never do it.200NS 25K kms / RE500 7k kms / Electra 30k kms / P150 80K Kms(SOLD) / i10 40k Kms (SOLD) / Tata NEXON 2K Kms
