Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hi All
The overheating symbol issue still exists in my Pulsar 200NS (2012).
The engine over heat symbol is flashing continuously after 8-9Kms of ride.
My workplace is 10Kms from my home. The moment I cross 8 or 9Kms, the flashing starts. Traffic is very less. I maintain a speed of 40KMPH and a maximum of 60KMPH if the road is empty. The symbol goes away once the bike is idle for an hour or so. The coolant which was topped up on the last service was not at all used.
Last time, I took it to the Bajaj Service Centre, the engineer said there is some crack in head or something and that is the reason engine is not consuming the coolant. He changed it, charged me Rs.2500. But the issue is not resolved. I took it back to him and this time he said Radiator Temperature Sensor is not working. He changed that too. Issue is still not resolved. I thought there might be some issue with the Motul engine oil I use. So, I got the engine oil changed to stadard Bajaj engine oil. The issue still exists.
Please help.

Check your oil pump. It might be the problem. Because if the oil pump isn't working then the coolant won't circulate around the water jackets in the engine. Check the oil pump asap.Originally posted by shyam.mora View PostHi All

Do you suggest going to a Bajaj service center ? Or can a normal mechanic look at it. The reason is there is only one Bajaj ASS near my place and that guy looted me good last time.Originally posted by Ajayaju View PostCheck your oil pump. It might be the problem. If they are looting you then don't go out there. But a really good mechanic can see it for you. I would suggest that you take it to the service center because they know better. See whatever they are doing to your bike and if you feel like you are being looted, tell them that you want to talk to the manager and you'll be fine.Originally posted by shyam.mora View PostDo you suggest going to a Bajaj service center ? Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Thanks bro. I feel belt drive provides the best of both worlds. I 'm sick of cleaning and lubing the chain often and adjusting it's slackness every 1000 to 1500 km's. Also, I believe, this chain cleaning and lubing, changing the chain every 20,000 to 30,000 km and selling it's related products has become now a big business in motorcycle industry and a big expense for owners.Originally posted by Mohankumar Bruiser View Post

Got the carb opened today to clean it after the performance drop, by a mech.Originally posted by Mohankumar Bruiser View PostWhether you have checked your carb diaphragm? Teared diaphragm may lead to performance drop
This is what my diaphragm looks like. Is this normal or do I need a replacement?
It seems warped.
