2017 version launched in Turkey...Along with the 160NS
No abs, they had FI before itself and some new dual tone paint schemes.

Yes heard about 160ns which is oil cooled.
launching 160ns can be a big turning Point for Bajaj as 150cc is the entry-level performance segment in India.
160Ns if launched would do a lot of trouble to Hornet, FZ and Gixxer sales.

      • Rattling noise from Silencer at 4.5K - 5k rpm

        Dear xBhpian's

I am recently plagued with a strange issue. There is rattling noise from inside the silencer at 4.5k - 5K rpm (where the vibes are noticeable). No noise anything above or below the specified rpm range.

I took it the ASS and they said something has come loose on the inside and I would need to get the entire silencer changed.

Now my question is what can possible come loose inside the silencer? Is there a way to open it up and inspect?

FYI - My bike is 4 years old, 35K on ODO. I have been using Motul 7100 since the last 2 years. Appreciate if anyone can share some insights

        Cheers,
        Suraj

What? Battery with 11 amp ? Does that even fit in bike battery cage? Name of the battery?

Afaik Amaron batteries cost 1.8k for 9 AH. 2 years warranty. Exide should be similar. I've never heard of a sealed vrla bike battery costing 3-4k. Can you give us the source of the info?

Can you give us a picture? I have a doubt that the battery you purchased was a fake one; like those fake Chinese power banks that say 20,000 mah but charge the phone only once. The Amaron 9 ah I use can barely fit in my CBR battery cage.

And you should need only a 7-9 ah for the NS, unless you have some extra electricals. Don't get fooled by the fake battery AH claims. Sometimes they have cheap tech inside that could make them explode or catch fire more often. Please go to another dealer and ask for this battery. It was ₹1800 2 weeks ago.

But they said FI is cancelled as Bajaj couldn't see a major improvement using the fi system
This BSIV treatment and all is nonsense. If properly tuned the NS has low emission levels. During PUC check last 3 times my bike gave between 0.5 to 1.0 CO and HC was also less than 10% of the max allowed level.

Might be true...As an owner u will have a better idea about that more than me. But it is something that is made mandatory by the government and has to be followed.
And btw contrary to what I posted and what was told, FI is there.

I think the filter of the reserve tube of fuel tap is chocked. Try changing the fuel tap and if you are filling petrol from a single pump regularly, change the pump too.☺

Do this simple trick. Remove the fuel tube from the petcock, just turn the knob to reserve, you should start to see petrol guzzling out of the petcock, the full diameter of the outlet should be filled with fuel, if you see, fuel dropping or comes out very little as opposed to full force flow,we have a blocked petcock or a blocked fuel tank. In either cases it's hardly 20 min work if you have the proper tools to clean the petcock.

                            Best of luck.

                            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                            THE END

Thanks for the replys. I guessed it was a fuel pipe issue.so i took it to a garage and he changed the tube and the knob for 300 rs ,anyways rode the bike for 20kms and again the same issue.so I took it to the same garage and he told me there is electrical problems which he supposedly fixed for rs 450. I kept asking what's the exact issue and he wasn't being forthright he kept saying some fan issue. And again another 20 KMS the same issue. I took it back again and he did something to the fuel pipe again. Will check again after a ride tomorrow. The issue is it's happens when the fuel is lesser than half the tank not even reserve, it loses power and if I rip it hard it stops and won't start again till the engine cools Down. But the horn Speedo everything stays on.all this happened since I got it serviced through an online garage service. Costly mistake. Really burns the stomach when money's goes down the drain for nothing.hopefully it doesn't happen again

It can be cause by faulty rubbery thing inside the carburettor. Like flot(only happen when a person give full throttle and immediately stop giving throttle).due to this some petrol goes to the air filter box and to the combustion chamber. In the exhaust pipe also.faced the same issue and solved by myself.
