Yes, but there are rumours going around that NS with abs will be introduced soon. Actually some have spotted the bike undergoing tests

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
The NS engine can overheat only if something is wrong with the cooling system. Lean mixtures can make the engine run hotter, but a liquid cooled engine can't overheat if the cooling is fine.Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostOkay, so what can be the reasons for engine overheating?

Bro its not overheating I feel the heat when I get down the bike even after 2-3 kms ride only. Regarding the mixture CO level is set to 1.7.Originally posted by krixna View PostThe NS engine can overheat only if something is wrong with the cooling system. Another thing I noticed that sometimes they are many hiccups under 4k rpm when I start riding first time in the day. And sometimes there are absolutely no hiccups. Could it be any to do with idling?

Water in fuel , old spark plugs, throttle cable , clogged air filter- fuel filter, low battery voltage etc . Check these things one by one .
I just completed 3k on 7100 & feeling some harshness . I drive in the range of 5k-9k rpm most of the time . I think it differs from bike to bike .Originally posted by kany1991 View PostMotul 7100 whata oil completed 7k on motul bike still runs smooth [emoji7] [emoji7] [emoji7] [emoji8]

Bro no oil can reduce harshness and vibrations of ns above 5.5k rpm we'll have to live with'em [emoji29]Originally posted by vvk1999 View Post

For me vibration starts at 5.5k and unbearable at 6.5 after that its reduced.
(Topped up around 100ml motul at 6k because of leakage from o ring) 🙄Last edited by kany1991; 06-24-2016, 01:30 AM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
U r getting it wrong. Earlier for 3k km the ride was much smooth now its getting harsh , that doesn't means it was vibration free earlier or now . Gear shifting is not smooth , engine heats up quickly , these r the symptoms to change the oil .Originally posted by kany1991 View PostBro no oil can reduce harshness and vibrations of ns above 5.5k rpm we'll have to live with'em [emoji29]

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello everyone,
My bike has completed 54000km recently and is 3 years 10 months old. Surprisingly I never got any serious issue with the bike. All the issues have been mostly due to the bad servicing by the stupid dumb mechanics.
I will tell you what happened to me this month as I have spent almost 15k rupees for a problem that could have been solved by just 200rupees.
For the past five or six months I was facing a problem with flat spots while acceleration and jerking while accelerating. I approached the svc numerous times and small minor adjustments could not rectify the problem. The problem was, while accelerating, from 4th gear, the bike was jerking and even after giving full throttle the bike was reluctant to go beyond 7k rpm for a while and then it would just suddenly accelerate, which was very frustrating and terrifying at the same time.
Then one of the genius mechanics of the bajaj service centre diagnosed the problem to be clutch assembly and I though since the bike has done 50k I would go ahead on his advice.
So the following jobs were done:
1: clutch assembly replacement
2 head cleaning and valve relapping
3. battery replacement
4 wiring kit replacement
5. valve guides and oil seals replaced.
6. fork oil, oil seals replaced
7. brake fluid pumps replaced in doubt of brake dragging.
8. carburettor cleaned.
Even after all these, the problem still persisted. Then again they diagnosed it to be the carburettor breather pipe being getting pinched. They rectified it but the problem still persisted. And after numerous visits to the svc, today when I went to them, they were saying the bore and piston might need replacement. I was furious, I asked them to check the compression as last time they said the bore was fine and no need to touch it. The idiot mechanic brought the compression guage and checked and said the compression is very low. That idiot was not giving throttle while cranking and saying the compression was low. I started shouting and asked for the manager to be present immediately and then they checked the compression again and apologised. I asked them as to why they were incapable of finding the actual problem in spite of having trained mechanics. They said they will do an engine overhaul and they have to take everything apart. I said, do everything in front of me and I will record everything you guys do. After a lot of threats they agreed to do it in front of me but asked me not to record.
The mechanic was removing part by part. When he was removing the air filter box, the caurburetor came off with it. I asked if that was normal. He said it was normal at first and then realized that I was serious. The actual problem all this while was the rubber hose connecting the carburettor to the engine being loose. The rubber hose has become hard and was not seating properly. Then, they replaced it and put everything back together, and the bike is running like new. The flat spots and jerking are gone.
And that is how negligent and retarded the mechanics at the service centres areBreaklessBiker

Yeah I did check for oil leaks but couldn't find any.Originally posted by GauravD View PostWith the rubber gasket ring replaced i doubt it could be the oil leaking but u never know. A misalignment while setting the gasket could coz the leak. Did u inspect the engine for leakages?

Its the result of only power point presentation training of ASC's mechanics by company. Pathetic training quality in indian 2 wheeler segment in all companies. Whats the fun of launching so many new products if local ASCs mechanics doesn't know their product.Originally posted by surampudijagadeesh View PostHello everyone,

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Came back from a one day trip today. During the trip the bike was behaving weirdly.
The problem was when I started in the morning I idled the for a good 2 mins and the took off. On the way even after 20-25 kms I could feel the hiccups at 5k rpm and just under 6k rpm.
But this was not constant. When I took a 5-10 mins halt and then started again the bike was feeling OK at 5k and 6k rpms and there were no noticeable hiccups and this thing kept repeating throughout the trip. What could be the reason behind this varying performance.?
Current odo reading:-14600 kms

Was the petrol tank removed and refitted before this problem this started ?Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostCame back from a one day trip today. During the trip the bike was behaving weirdly.

Nope bro, at the last service the bike was tuned at CO 1.7 after tuning according to CO I have to accelerate a bit more to take off and hiccups have increased plus the engine sound is not constant as it should be it keeps on varying.Originally posted by krixna View PostWas the petrol tank removed and refitted before this problem this started ?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I had read on the internet that crank issues could be the result of non constant sound while idling. Could be the shaft or the bearing. If I am not wrong, you may be getting a few seconds of constant idling with a few coughs thrown in ? If yes, then I would keep you posted when I go in for the crank issue check on mine. If you get to a solution first please lemme know too.Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostNope bro, at the last service the bike was tuned at CO 1.7 after tuning according to CO I have to accelerate a bit more to take off and hiccups have increased plus the engine sound is not constant as it should be it keeps on varying.
All of the other issues like low pick up etc were taken care off by the advice by [MENTION=74543]krixna[/MENTION] but this one still is persisting.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
In case of hiccups you can try tuning CO 1.7 @ 2500 rpm and see if there's any improvement.Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostNope bro, at the last service the bike was tuned at CO 1.7 after tuning according to CO I have to accelerate a bit more to take off and hiccups have increased plus the engine sound is not constant as it should be it keeps on varying.
