HI, this was fixed by Bajaj guys Free of Cost, they removed the Alternator cover and replaced the gasket too. outside they applied a white sealant i guess it is silicon sealant you mentioned.

but ASS experience was so bad ,these guys are so incompetent. had to Waste 2-3 days on getting this fixed. so i guess my garage wount have any more Baja bike.

can something be done of the Handle bar vibrations? can i damp them out or something by applying rubber gourmet/Washer somewhere. footpegs had similar vibrations and i reduced them by like 60% by removing the footpeg and adding a washer as there was tiny movement in the footpeg when pulled perpendicular to the mount point.

but the tire you have mentioned seems not available in Indian market. Can any one else suggest me for the best rear tire (130/70-17 62P) available easily in India, (Delhi)
You can go for Michelin Pilot Street radial or MRF Revz (also radial). Michelin is better but expensive. I used MRF Revz and found it good enough for all kind of riding conditions (except track). It has got good dry and wet traction.

              MT is a good option.
Do check the Helmets thread for more info.
Haven't heard much about SMK helmets.
Avoid LS2 as there are many fakes in the market.

Hi guys, I have a problem with my ns. I hear a weird noise when I ride at 57 - 80 kmph at 6th gear. ASS says that the sound comes from the rear wheel and a local mechanic says that it comes from the engine. ASS adjusted the chain and tells that the sound will reduce, but till now no improvement.
Bike has done 27665km. Can someone please help me with this?

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

There was an article today on NDTV Auto section about the relaunch of the NS200. They claim it will come here mid Jan 2017 with BSIV treatment, few minor cosmetic changes, single channel abs and few other changes to take on the Apache RTR 200.
But they said FI is cancelled as Bajaj couldn't see a major improvement using the fi system

Yes. It is also published in Motorbeam.com as well. This is expected earlier, but Bajaj is late. Again single ABS, a pain in ***. Glad they are going to bring NS back. Very Excited

Same here. My only worry is that the bike wasn't as successful as Bajaj wanted it to be in the first place. Now at the time of relaunch the competition is way ahead. So what will happen...
Also the bloody vibes..I hope they are sorted. Can be a huge deal breaker when u compare it to others like the RTR 200

How do you say at gear 6?. How about the same speed but at gear 2 or 4?. I think at higher gear the revs will be lower making the sound more audible and that makes you think it comes out only at that gear. Try doing 45-50 at gear 6 and check.

There is another way to try. Use center stand, apply gear and raise the throttle and inspect. Try different gears and check for the source of sound. But caution is needed as the rear wheel may spin very fast. Do not try this if you are not sure of how. I have tried few times when I found the chain scratching the cover by doing this. Also check if the chain rings are clean.

Actually the bike was doing good about 2000-3000 in numbers, but Bajaj had to give way for AS200 and new Avenger. However NS FI are still being exported. Vibrations are there at some rev range for NS,AS,RS. Sometimes it could come down based on how we do run-in. Rest is Bajaj typical quality. What is your problem with NS?. My NS vibrates at some freq, but manageable.

I don't have the bike. I rode my friends NS during a trip to Nandi Hills for a long time... Unbearable vibes. Although in its defence, run in was never followed and it was from one of the first batches released.

There is no noise at the same speed at different gears. The sound comes only when I am at the 6th and the speed is a 59 to 80. After 80 no noise is coming. I will surely check if the chain scratches with the cover. Thanks for the help ☺
