    Thanks for replying so soon..
    Sprocket..no problems..
    Chain ..no problem..well lubed..
Smoke from exhaust..nothing out of original..
Oil.. no problem till now I guess..
A while back ago I tried fitting an custom air filter..but didn't like it and removed it with in 750 kms the mechanic had done something to the carburetor I guess he didn't say what exactly he did but said he didn't up jet it..any way I didn't like his work and got the filter removed bike got back with in 95% of stock feel but didn't go back to the way it to the stock feel..
Other than that fuel filter got blocked and was replaced with a simple one way fuel filter of hero Honda..
How do I know clutch have burnt or not..
Engine knocking..other than terrible low end torque ..I don't know..
The reason for me complaining was because the way it felt riding that other bike was like day and night..like riding another brand of bike...
I have to keep on revving my bike to have a useable torque level while the other bike felt relaxed and smooth ..
Did the mechanic messed up my carb it was around 7500km I experimented with it and removed it with 8200..
After that thing he did with the carburetor it never increase my rpms past 2500 while using choke during cold starts..
I strongly suspect something is amiss with my carb..

It happened two times today. What i experienced that in a mean time when accelerating the bike continuously at high rpm hiccup occurs.
I cant figure out what is the issue. I have a ride day on oct 23 for around 1000km round trip. Couldn't take the bike in this condition.
Readjust your tappets. High speed choking after a tappet setup usually means tight valves. Get your clearances done once again, and make sure your carb is cleaned and tuned accordingly.

And I need your help regrading my bike ...I maintain my bike well..
run in completed according to norm..
      Changes oil periodically..motul 7100..
      Rides it sanely..
Other periodical maintenance too done religiously..
      Now coming to the issue..
Recently I drove a not so well maintained NS and to my surprise it was better than by bike in
1..the low end pull was great in the other bike..
2..the engine was accelerating freely in that one while my bike has high friction like feel in my engine from the day I bought it.. and decelerates very fast once I stop twisting the throttle..it is not smooth even after switching to motul 7100..
I have fiddled with afr many times but it didn't solve any of these issues..
3..gear box is not slick..while there is a nice feedback or click from it since switching to motul..
I'm cursing my ignorance to test ride other people's NS till now..aarrgh..
Till now I have clocked 11500 kms..
My bike is an late 2014 model which came with MRF tyres as stock..
      Any suggestions for my problem..??
How can a ill maintained bike can surpass a well maintained bike in low end pull and pick up and also being smoother...
I repeat I feel like my engine is not free..it's got like lot of friction inside it..
I once rode a 220 and it felt way smoother than my NS and that feel was similar to the ill maintained NS both in low end pull and smoothness...
Is the carburetor an culprit behind this issues???
Help my guys..it's only my second post in 2-3 years in xbhp but I was an avid follower of this thread...

Indeed your carb tuning is amiss, from the answers you've given. These days bikes come with a single screw that controls both the air and fuel, and it's a magician's work to set the tuning right. Fiddling with the carb frequently alters the AFR ratio, this in turn reduces the overall engine efficiency, pretty much a bad idea to do this to a bike that's new one with less than 5k on the odo, alters the way the engine beds in.

What I would suggest is to take it to a good Bajaj SVC, get it tuned by them and then adjust your valve clearances in case you haven't done them.

      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

      THE END

Hey guys, I was wondering if it is okay to reverse/change side of the front chain sprocket. My ns makes hard friction noises and its coming from the front chain sprocket. I went to fix it and the machanic too doesnt know what was the problem even after he loosen the chain tension with a couple of tries. And then he flipped the front chain sprocket to the other side/reverse, and the noise is gone. Is it okay to do that?

What fuel efficiency do you get? And can you remove a side plug and post a picture of the electrode part?

KTM is under supervision of Bajaj and dukes/RC are being manufactured by Bajaj and somewhere 200NS matches alot with the Duke's engine. I love the sound that KTM bikes make. Is there any way to get my 200NS sound like a KTM, maybe some setting with exhaust?? (other than replacing the stock exhaust)

Thanks for the reply .Got it solved already. The mechanic misplaced the breather pipe which was jammed in between tank and the chassis so the airflow blocked tends to stop the engine. There is a small gap where the pipe should be placed. Replaced the whole pipe as it was damaged.

Actually there is no sound of NS, sound should be roaring like 220F but anyways I love KTM sound so if there is any way then tell me...

Actually my current co settings is 3-3.5 turns..I don't know the exact mileage..since I don't fill the petrol to tank full and don't use my bike regularly for long runs..its exam time for me and the spark plugs were checked earlier the mechanic said it was with in normal limit not overly rich or lean..

Easy way to check is, start the bike on a cold morning *without choke* and go for a ride. If it runs smoothly below 3K rpms for the first couple of minutes, your setting is rich.

                      • Personal care for Pulsar 200NS

I need expert advice on what can I personally do to my Pulsar 200NS for better performance. Like if the riding feel is not up to marks then what should I check on my bike personally rather than taking it to mechanic for every hook and crook.

These tyres are good for riding 30-40 km/hr in dry conditions.
