Hi brother we Met once at Shiva bajaj Ghaziabad if you remember.
Thanx for sharing your experience. I heard many times that NS engine is very reliable. You mentioned your engine overhaul @15k km then 1.40lc. So how long it lasted under normal Riding??

Normal hi ride karta hu dost..... Guy Martin nahi hu.... :P

Jokes apart, Normally 1.5L-1.7L kms aaram se chal jata hai agar maintenance sahi rakho toh..... varna jo maintain nahi karte... unka toh 5k kms bhi chalana doutful hoga even if they are riding the bulletproof engine laden, continental ballistic pig, the Suzuki GSX1300R (Hayabusa).

        • Good mechanic for pulsar 200 ns in Delhi

I have been offered a good deal on pulsar ns 2013. The bike belongs to my friend's younger brother's friend.

Being a engineering drop out and rich brat the owner shifted to his hometown and bike is lying idle at my friend's place in Delhi.

Though I had to check bike personally the bike seems fine according to my friend. The kms on odo are in 30k+. Even the price offered is in 30k+.

What are the things I should check before going for the bike? And I am looking for a good mechanic for pulsar ns preferably in east, central or south east delhi to get the bike checked.

I might be going to check the bike in week or two.

            Approved and merged!

If I were you, I would drop the bike just for the underlined parts.

Hi guys. First of all this thread is great for 200 NS owner. There are tons of useful and valuable information and contents here.

I have been riding my 200ns for over a month now (1100+km). Its a great motorbike for its performance and looks.
I had changed oil+oil filter twice now (first 500km and second on 1000km, just to clean the machine from the break in period).
But when I reached 700km onward, this happened:

                1. Windshield vibrating - Solved. Many thanks for the solution I found from this thread
                2. Engine weird cracking noise - I dont know if it is normal or not - https://youtu.be/UrafZfJDC_A
                3. Exhaust Leak - There is a small hole where the clear yellowish leak came from - https://youtu.be/PChU9CCY3fs
                4. Mono-shock Squeak - The monoshock makes squeaky noise which is annoying and kinda embarrassing on the road - https://youtu.be/_ZFgF4ReVfk

I hope you guys could help me out with this

                  2. Sorry, can't make out any peculiar noise. Maybe you could say exact time in video where it occurs.
                  3. Normal on startup. The water vapour (steam from burning) condenses to water and it's thrown out through a small hole under the silencer (so that rust does not form inside).
                  4. Sounds pretty bad. Show it to the service centre.

Have you washed your ns before squeaky noise?
AFAIK its because of water and dust

No. But I was thinking the same thing but after thorough and gentle wash, its still making the same noise. Even after I sun-dry it, its still the same. Any solution for this?

Try putting one or two drops of oil to the bottom-most part of the spring (inner side of spring)

                          Edit: also try kany's idea

I am new to this thread, but not new to riding Pulsar 200NS... The urgent need to resolve an issue with my bike brought me right here. Thus, this is a call for your help:

                            Given:
                            1. Bajaj Pulsar 200NS (2013)
                            2. 14,400km
                            3. I am 2nd owner and purchased this bike with 6,700km odo readings
                            4. Overall state of the bike is close to excellent: no issues and smooth performance.

Problem (started to happen 2-3 weeks ago):

Trying to accelerate on 5th and 6th gear would result in normal rev growth up to 6,000RPM than goes sudden drop in power from 6,000 to 7,000RPM (either not accelerating at all and stays something like 7,000RPM even with the full throttle or very slowly passes 7,000RPM) and good acceleration again from 7,000RPM and up to shift blink light.

The rest of the gears show the same power loss between 6 and 7,000RPM but engine is usually able to pass this stage and accelerate good beyond. When idling with the throttle grip, RPM show the same behavior: quick RPM growth to 6,000 than slower growth between 6 and 7,000 and quick growth from 7 to 12.

Seems like as if motor looses its power between 6,000 - 7,000RPM.

What has already been checked at the local official service (yes, there is a local service center in Ukraine for Bajaj and they have already given up with this case):

                            Physics:
                            1. Changed air and fuel filters (no luck)
                            2. Checked and cleaned carburater - excellent condition (no luck)
                            3. Changed fuel (different brands) (no luck)
                            4. Adjusted (different tries) mixture screw (no luck)
                            5. Readjusted intake and exhaust valve clearance (was good, no luck)
                            6. Ckecked compression ratio - 13ATM at full throttle opening - excellent, like in a new bike (no luck)

                            Electrical:
                            1. Checked old (good condition) and replaced to new spark plugs (no luck, switched back to older ones)
                            2. Exchanged CDI unit to new one (no luck) (switched back)
                            3. Exchanged ingintion coils to new one (no luck) (switched back)
                            4. Exchanged throttle sensor on carburater (no luck) (switched back)
                            5. Measured alternator hall sensor resistance readings - ok. (no luck)

I was trying riding after each change. No luck. No result. Engine gives a good and smooth acceleration 1 time out of 10. The rest - either stops accelerating between 6-7,000RPM at all or very slowly passes those values an gives an excellent acceleration past them.

I don't really think that this might be caused by the clutch wear. In the case of clutch wear RPM should grow even if the bike does not gain speed. Moreover, there should be some twitches and pulls while accelerating. Nothing like this.
+ the fact that quick throttle handle idling also shows odometer reading slow down between 6-7,000RPM
+ the fact that bike accererates excellently in case if it passed 7,000RPM.
So, doesn't seem to be clutch wear problem. Proove me wrong...

So, this is my current struggle. Me and official service have runned out of ideas... They have requested Bajaj factory (made and sent a video) to inspect this case. Still waiting for their answers...'

                            Any thoughts, people????
                            Thank you
