Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Nope the does accelerate till the redline but that's with lots struggle and whacking the throttle open results into lots of hiccups especially after 5k rpm and it feels like bike is losing all of its power. This thing is most prominent in 5&6 gear. So I think clutch is the culprit here.Originally posted by krixna View PostThanks for the correction. I missed that "struggles to reach 6K rpm" part and saw only the first part of what he said. Yeah, if it was clutch slipping, the engine rpm will rise but vehicle speed will not
And thank you krixna and Powershift for your vital inputs I will get the the clutch assembly replaced ASAP.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hey guys,
My NS done 27000 kms in 4 years. Recently I have noticed an issue
.
The RPM shoots up when throttling up in idle speed, and comes down very slowly. And this happens only when engine is warm. The acceleration is ok, but not at per with new condition, it makes 80 KM/h at 6000 RPM.
Need a good mechanic who can check and resolve the issue.
I am from kolkata, so any help from fellow xbhpians from kolkata is really helpful.

The fuel-air mixture is lean. You need to get it tuned.Originally posted by sunny503 View PostHey guys,

if this is the case,Originally posted by Itzli View PostThe fuel-air mixture is lean. You need to get it tuned.
NS is not provided with afr screw. another thing on which time affects is hole of jet, which increases over prolonged usage. this would enrich the afr.
am not getting how come afr becomes lean over the period of time. if anyone knows, pls do let me know.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
The rpm shooting up when idle and then slowing down is due to the afr settings having gone rich. Get ur bike CO tuned to about 1.6-1.8 CO and it wont happen. Get the tuning checked every service interval. I get it done and everytym the reading is rich and then redone.Originally posted by sunny503 View PostHey guys,

How many kms have you got on the current clutch plates bro.. coz you should be hovering around 90 at 6k. Do you half clutch when you ride ?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
With new clutch plates (means without slipping) you'll get 86@6K. I have the 220's rear sprocket (3 teeth less than stock) and I get 92@6K.Originally posted by GauravD View PostHow many kms have you got on the current clutch plates bro.. coz you should be hovering around 90 at 6k. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Bro i ran a check thrice today and each time i ended up at 89kmph at 6k rpm. Guess its time to tune then.. 😉😉Originally posted by krixna View PostWith new clutch plates (means without slipping) you'll get 86@6K. I have the 220's rear sprocket (3 teeth less than stock) and I get 92@6K.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hey guyz, facing the same problem as mentioned by #sunny503 but in my case even when riding when I press the clutch the rpm decreases very slowly. In addition the bike is vibrating too much like as it crosses 5k its vibration can be felt and irritates me, makes a rough sound like engine is under stress condition even at 5k
