Rear sprocket requires some lathe work. Any good lathe workshop can do it for you. This is because P220's sprocket has only 4 holes while the NS's hub has 6 bolts.

You get it as a set, so better change all of it, especially if your present sprockets have done more than 8-10K.Originally posted by vvk1999 View Post

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Bro can you please further elaborate a wee bit. What are the parts 1-8 in the pic and what is the impact of adding that spacer, i mean technically ?Originally posted by krixna View PostRemove the throttle slider, remove the needle, put an extra tiny washer *under* the spacer. Washer should be around 0.5 mm thick. Problem solved.
Thanks bro

I've tired getting a mechanic / bike electrician to do the attach the car replay into the headlight. But for some odd reason, none of the mechanics here in Mumbai wanne do that. They say its too risky.
So my last option is to directly pop-in a 90/100W bulb in the stock setup. Just wanted to ask if the stock bulb holder and wires can handle that? What are the worrying signs a should look out for in case it can't handle it??
I really wish you could make a DIY thread on this mode of yours.. would help a lot of NS owners on the forum.NeVi77e

Have been using the 100/90 w bulb for like 6-7months in stock setup. No problem yet. Did a lot of night rides as well (continous usage of lights for arnd 7~8 hrs).Originally posted by NeVi77e View Postkrixna

But would be good if you use a ceramic holder instead of the stock plastic one. Don't worry, the plastic holder won't melt but when the plastic heats, it gives off fumes (very lightly) which can accumulate as a dim coating over the reflector in the long run, say in a year or two.Originally posted by Hari Krishnan R View PostHave been using the 100/90 w bulb for like 6-7months in stock setup. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
In 8 you have the throttle slider and diaphragm. 5 is the needle for main jet. In 9 we have (from the bottom) spacer, lock, washer, spring (green) and another lock on top. All that you see in 9 comes on the needle.Originally posted by GauravD View PostBro can you please further elaborate a wee bit. When you add a 0.5mm washer under the spacer, the needle is lifted by 0.5 mm, which allows a little more fuel in lower rpms. You have to adjust Afr after adding the washer.
Your problem will be solved, trust me. I've done this for a few bikes (NS and others). They all had bad performance in lower revs.
Edit: get it done by a good local mechanic. And buy me a beer when I'm in Bengaluru next time

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Pls share the pic when u remove the tyre for some other work .Originally posted by krixna View PostYou can't see the lathe work when it's bolted up with the lock washers in place, bro. I'll have to remove it to show you....
As per your feedback, steps involved in modification are :
2 holes matches with the existing sprocket. So for remaining 4 holes, first weld some washers to new sprocket with matching the holes. Then remove the excess weld by grinding or by lathe machine.
