Anyway, coming to your point, I faced the same problem with my Disco 125. I kept it for close to a year. So here are the things that are most concerned
    1. Tyre almost flattened, rubbers look kind of molded
    2. Excessive dust, cleaning took more than an 30 mins, now think about NS
    3. Fuel was very less, about half a liter, but bike never came to life even after kicking for several minutes (might have kicked 100 times or more), only I was sweating. After several attempt, the bike started and dies immediately. The same happened everytime after on and I could never bring it back to life
    4. Everytime it started, the exhaust smell was unbearably bad and the gas was black in color
    --> took to service center

    Problems and remedies
    1. Tank was full of rust formation, they cleaned it but rusting was not fully removable as I didn't want to replace new
    2. Carb completely needed cleaning, as fuel has formed as muck, smells bad
    3. Chain also was stuck due to excessive dust, even after cleaning, I could see it making noise
    4. Change of engine oil, air and oil filter
    5. Engine valves were not working (don't know how it is related to prolonged storage) properly as per timing chain, hence needed repalcement
    6. battery completely drained and battery terminals were corroded
    7. carb had to be re-tuned and I lost my mileage (though you can opt it out)

I couldn't recall the rest, but got a huge bill of 3800+ (including battery). My advice is, don't start. Because, the fuel that you have left could have formed like a glue and the oil too would have been the same (esp on cold places or seasons). running the engine with battery charged externally might be RISKY.

Take it to nearby SVC with the help of another two wheeler. just tell them that vehicle stored for prolonged time.

Let them handle that. Ask them to clean carb if required, but not to adjust the pilot jet.
    Thanks a lot for this.

Went to karol bagh area to find a solution for our weak leg guards...
Well it seems there are no ready made solutions for our bikes.

Looks like if we really need them we gotta have em custom made.

I think the leg guards or crash guards are made Iike that for a purpose. The guard's lower portion is bolted on the periphery of the engine and upper portion near to the frame. In case of a fall,if the guards are too strong, the force might get transfered to the frame or to the engine side and the effect of that would be really bad. If the guard's get deformed or breaks, then, other than the obvious plastic damage the costlier and more important parts will be intact.
If you are worried about the plastic damage get frame sliders or if you are worried about your safety get good knee guards

Try IRc tyres used on ninja. They are awesome. 5k for a pair, only 1500 costlier than a Rev z pair but totally worth the price.

Don't worry about their strength, worry only about their purpose.
They are weak and Crack as soon as you hit the road horizontally, but they help in saving the frame and integrity of strength of the bike. They are easy to be replaced 110 bucks a side and the frame is too costly to be damaged.
Do they work effectively, save our legs?
I have crashed at 80 Kmph and slided on road with left side down for some meters in a jeans. Not a single scratch.
Whenever you will go down, only loss occured will be
                1 leg guard
                2 leg guard bolt
3 silver colour Handle bar will be bent.
                That's all

Front : stock size is 100/80 =80 unit height, 110/70 =77 unit height . Resulting speedometer errors

                  Rear: stock size 130/70 =91 unit height , 150/60 = 90 unit height
                  Resulting under gearing.

As a result of this setup fuel efficiency will surely decrease. Plus false speedometer- odometer readings all time.

Try to keep the front tyre of stock size , you can change rear as your requirements . For increased fuel efficiency u can use 140/70 .

Was hoping someone on the forum who has done the coolant change before.. may be able to help me on this.
I changed the coolant twice on my bike on my own. But I did not change the copper washer.
May be you can check in a hardware store.

So its not necessary to change the copper washer?

It is not 9amp battery. Common mistake. It is 9Ah. Means 9Ampere-hour. It's the capacity of the battery, which means it can give 1amp for 9 hours, 4.5amp for 2 hours, 9amp for 1 hour etc. You should use only 80% of 9Ah capacity, means you should not fully discharge the battery.

The starter motor draws around 250W, which is more than 20amp, but only a few seconds.

When the engine is running, the alternator can handle 100W easily. I am using 100/90W headlight bulb for more than a year now.

Please recommend dual use tyres for my NS. I anyway have to upgrade however also considering my Leh ride in Sep. The only ones that look like something in my budget are MRF METEOR and Ceat Zoom and Vertigo. Can someone please advise on performance of these.

I pray, dear God please protect my ride

I think its quite difficult to get IRC in my area. Also im tight on budget (7-8k max). I would have waited and get the michelins but cant bear the euroslips anymore. Even the front is skidding under hard braking. So need to get one urgently

Will the bigger front cause drastic error in speedo?? And what about handing??
                            Any other tyre options?

Yes , it will surely change the handling. Stick to 100/80 . U have many options like, mrf zapper fy1 , fx , ceat zoom etc

140 will result in larger contact area and how does it cause increase in FE?
