Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
But, out of interest, just wondering why do you want to undergear?. Apart from improvement in acceleration I find nothing better. You'll face mileage drop, unnecessary spare change, reworks, costs, increasing in your RPM during highway rides, etc.Originally posted by NitSpeed200 View PostCan anyone can help me with this????
Only improvement I see is good low end, but NS has decent low and punchier mid....why bother?
Anyway, if you are considering to improve further, you should consider some weight reduction.... (including bike + You

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I don't mind losing on the top end as am from Kerala and maintaining speeds above 100 in our highways is a dream and even in 4 lanes I maintain a speed of 100-110. Increased rpm also wouldn't bother me as I have ridden a undergeared NS and I liked that set up. Am happy as long as I get 30kmpl.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostBut, out of interest, just wondering why do you want to undergear?. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
A week back, started experience my engine oil turning negative. Some Bajaj oil aging symptoms
1. Gears not slotting perfectly all time
2. Increase in harshness within few days gradually (like you are running with less oil or like a new bike)
3. Feeling reduced pickup.
In overall, I felt these in a week's time. At first I assumed the oil levels have come down, but my bad the center stand was on an slightly elevated floor, I overfilled it. Plus it was almost my 1st paid service period end time...
Ordered 2 Motul 7100 on amazon (good now the seller is Amazon fullfilled) for ~770 per bottle. The local store cost was 800+. Local store guy suggested 300v and said about 8K Kms of oil life.... But I opted for 7100. Got it in 5 days, but well packed. For information this is how my oil change has happened
0-4600 Km - Bajaj Oil
4600-6600 Km - Motul 5100 15w50 (Not satisfied, Bajaj oil felt better)
6600-9000km - Bajaj oil again
Now 7100
In fact I had high dreams on Motul 5100 in bringing down harshness as many suggested in past year, but it was just opposite.... Cooling fan started kicking more frequently compared to Bajaj oil, slightly increased idling, etc. Only good thing was, very least false neutral behaviors... Totally dissatisfied... So with frustrations, moved back to Bajaj oil.
--> Experience with Motul 7100, just a day gone...
Impressed.....
It finally works.I assumed the oil needs to be set at least for about 100Km run-in, but the difference was felt immediately..I could find the reduction in harshness at least 30% easily and especially at high revs I can clearly notice it. This leads to overall reduction in footpeg vibes.... Now let me check after a 100Km to see if any changes are visible...
Special thanks to xplod566 and GauravD for sharing their experience long back for 7100...which somehow convinced me to go for 7100. Anyhow completed my 1st paid service along with this.
0 complaints till date on my NS , now isn't that something amazing?
. Plus with oil cleaning, the bike looks brand new.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Anybody facing vibes between 5k-6k rpm range? Asking this because I do face vibes at every possible part of the @5k-5.5k range post that vibes get much less and at 6k rpm they aren't there but the rpm needle vibrates just too much between 5k-6k rpm range.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yes it is there, but not annoying but slightly. Bike feels butter smooth under 4-4.5K....then slowly it starts vibrating (though not cursing bad, but a lot manageable) and after 6K, it starts smoothing out (higher frequency vibes seem to get damped). I think this is common for a single cylinder. Have ridden plethora of bikes and I have felt the same on CBR250r too, but slightly better than NS or Dukes. Same with Fzv2 also, but Fz is even better in other RPM range....... so I don't think a big deal. But "mine" and "Yours" vibration level is not knownOriginally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostAnybody facing vibes between 5k-6k rpm range? Note: RPM needle doesn't vibrate in my case. Does that vibrate due to bike vibration or some faulty sensor or needle issue?. My left mirror vibes a bit after got hit by a car once... since then I couldn't fix that no matter whatever I did to it :-(

nw bro.The ODO kms u r in is perfect to switch on Motul 7100.Its a brilliant oil. After 500 Kms you will even feel it to be more smoother.s one of the best engine oil.And you cna pretty much shift at 8000 to 9000RPM on any gear.Engine vibes are less and mosyt importantly it protects your engine.
Keep the oil for atleast 7000KMS.i Can vouch you for that.It easily lasts for7000KMS eyes closed.I am saying this becasue i have seen it lastin for long. Also on my Duke 200 service interval is 7500Kms so engine oil change is every 7500Kms.
Rest assured you will feel the bike to be new.

. Plus with oil cleaning, the bike looks brand new.I would vouch for Motul any day. Having experienced the best of what Motul has to offer for the past five and a half years. Starting with the 300V 15W50 in my old FZ to the 7100 10W50 that I use today in my NS. Its like fill it, shut it, forget it (atleast for the next 5k to 7k kms)Originally posted by xplod566 View Post00KMS

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yeah.. Vibes are not extraordinary at 5k-5.5k plus quite manageable and at 6k rpm the bike is almost vibe free. But the annoying thing is that vibrating rpm needle.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostYes it is there, but not annoying but slightly. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Its exactly 44 days of NS ownership. It has blown away. I never ridden a Jap bike this far. Made 3400 kilometers long journey to understand the machine; I was bothered by Bajaj and Pulsar tag but this is altogether a different monster. The mustard yellow cant look any better than this
Due upgrades @8000 KMS (Right now 7214kms on ODO):
Engine Oil - Motul 7100W
Rear Tyre - Michelin Pilot Street Radial (INR 5.8k + 1k rebate for handing over Euroslips)
Front Tyre - Suggestions please
Horn - Pulsar 220/ Hella supertone
Headlamp bulb - Philips Diamond Vision 55/60W
Center stand to be added
Handguards (Spoils the look of being naked)
AS200 Visor (Spoils the look of being naked) - Searching for the RTM Accessory visor or custom visor makers in India
Mirrors - my shoulders take half of the stock mirror. Should I go for Apache Mirrors??
