The stem seems to be short. The mirrors by default take half of my shoulders. Anything which is wide protruding would suit I believe.Originally posted by P3T3R View PostMustard Yellow 2013 200NS - Suave Bloke in the town

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
From my cbr250r experience, its the fairing and riding position that helps 90%, wind shield deflects the wind and drives above rider head. However on upright riding stance on all naked bikes the wind shield isnt only solution that can fix the wind blast. Its helpful, but of ,course not as much as a sporty faired riding machine....Originally posted by danny king View PostHi friends. I have been seeing a lot discussions and mods about wind shields/screens. Out of curiosity, let me ask one thing. Does it actually reduce wind blast? I mean, would a shield of the size in the pics make much of a difference. Judging from the size and angle, much of our torso will still be open to wind blasts. May be a pic with some one mounted on the bike would give a better understanding.
But this mod costs nothing much, do you can try [emoji6] . Earlier I too was so eager...
But for me, I'm 6 feet and I feel kind of losing bikini fairing upon seeing with visor [emoji6], so I dropped the plan.

Did you check bar end mirrors?. They are small but will give you good rear vision if not wide angle of coverage.Originally posted by jhbalaji View PostThe stem seems to be short. The mirrors by default take half of my shoulders. Anything which is wide protruding would suit I believe.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
If the stem is positioned towards the front of the bike, you lose width. Try positioning the stem above the switches and adjust the mirror to make it get a view around your shoulders. At this position I can get the view of the pillion grab handles in the inner bottom corner of the mirrors.Originally posted by jhbalaji View PostThe stem seems to be short. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Could you post a video of the horn sound? It would be helpful and won't be bleak after spending on it.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostJust get another of your stock horn. That should rock you. I am using a P220 horn, sound is more than enough to get attention from cars and trucks. Plus, check the tone frequency so that it sounds dual-tone. P220 ones are good, but I chose a little bassy one (mixing a P220 horn with yours will give that). But more watt you spend, more battery draining, also make sure the wiring is not exposed (rain could spoil the game).
For headlight, I'd advice you to stay off from these night breaker, bright vision stuf.. Just a white light making it look brighter, but will look washed out. It might be hard to hold your temptation, but as @shreya1992 mentioned, get a HID from good brands such as philips which should cost you 6-8K up to 12K based on wattage. And for God's sake, stay away from all those cheap ebay ones.
In my all exp, 90W Halogen would give the best road presence, plus safe for other ridersMustard Yellow 2013 200NS - Suave Bloke in the town

Am not so keen on fixing a wind screen. Anyways, just was curious.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostFrom my cbr250r experience, its the fairing and riding position that helps 90%, wind shield deflects the wind and drives above rider head. Would anyone tell me the price of the speedo sensor and cable. I believe its a single unit. Mine was damaged during the previous service.Your bike is a part of you....

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Is anybody using led headlamps on their ns ??
I am planning to get one for mine but was kinda curious that will it even fit in our headlamp especially since these lights have big fans to dissipate the heat produced by the led , and the fact that everything is tightly packed in our bikes.
So just wanted to ask if anyone is using one of those big led headlamps in his/her bike ??Using Tapatalk

Take a ruler and see if you have 3 to 4 inches clearance BEHIND the headlamp, between the bulb and the handlebar. If yes, LED bulbs with heat-sink will fit.Originally posted by gunner143 View PostIs anybody using led headlamps on their ns ??

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I have seen LED headlights on a few Pulsars (not NS) and local autorikshaws. None of them are bright and do not have a good throw. They are glaring though. And do not have dim and bright options. However, I have some Enfielders fixing LED auxiliary lamps on their crash guards. Now, these are quite bright and are very glaring lights as well. I am not sure if LED headlights are a good option at this point.Originally posted by gunner143 View PostIs anybody using led headlamps on their ns ?? I am planning to buy a good quality led headlamp but the real constraint is the space , i dont think we will able to use a led with a big heat sink.Originally posted by danny king View PostI have seen LED headlights on a few Pulsars (not NS) and local autorikshaws. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I wouldn't use any light of any type, however good they may light up the road, it they are a nuisance for people coming towards me. Everyone uses LED lights with glare, so why can't I? Well, that's the wrong way to think. All of them (that I've seen) have glare. Why be a nuisance to people? Well, if you can find a LED with a low beam that hits only the ground and has no glare, well, go for it if you think it has good lighting. Personally, I haven't seen a LED so far that gives good light plus no glare.Originally posted by danny king View PostI have seen LED headlights on a few Pulsars (not NS) and local autorikshaws. Well thats the plan exactly , i am not buying one from from a cheap local store.Originally posted by krixna View PostI wouldn't use any light of any type, however good they may light up the road, it they are a nuisance for people coming towards me. Im importing one from a reputed one, and yes the glare is well in control. Cutoff isnt as good as halogen but it is pretty near.
Intention is to achieve a setup that has max light 'on' the road and to save amps on battery so that i can better wattage spot lamps since i will be saving amps by using a led bulb in headlamp instead of halogen.Using Tapatalk
