If you have fog in your area, it's better to go for a higher watt bulb like 90/100 with proper wiring.Originally posted by jhbalaji View Postvvk1999 @any1991, @GauravD and vvk1999 @krixna sharadh vivek7593 powerShift NitSpeed200 @Itzli @deep007 @Durvesh @jbm_guy
Should I pick philips or Osram then? I need more range and visibility. I face a very little to no fog here.
Also please suggest me stock horn upgrade. Really the stock is super bleak when it comes in highways. Hella Yellow panther? Can it be fitted in NS by any chance?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Thanks Shrey. Tractor horns are those Red ones and called as SuperTone, right? The yellow ones I shared is a new release from the SuperTone series but called as SharpTone as they're are sharp. Does wiring needs any upgrade if I put this 3A horns?Originally posted by shrey1992 View PostI have used an Osram Night Breaker Unlimited in my NS, trust me all this 130% higher brightness thing is all gimmick. I switched to 100/90W bulb just after two months of using it.These 60/55W aftermarket bulbs gives just a whiter light and nothing else.
So, I would advice you to either go for a 100/90W bulb with a proper relay and wiring harness kit, or use that 60/55W bulb with some led driving lights also called work lamps.
You can also go for an HID setup, just remember to buy good quality bulbs i.e. Cnlight / Philips / OPT-7 and blaster i.e. Hyluxtek / DLT F3 / Philips.
Just remember that if you use HIDs in reflector then only go for the HID setup which has anti glare shield on them which protects other motorists and doesn't makes you look like a fool. Also always go for 4300K or lower bulbs.
For the horns, you can use Hella Tractor horns. I have been using them since a while and they are good on highways. Else, just double the stock horn.
Don't ever use pressure / trumpet horns, always use sealed type horns as those pressure horns are illegal in many areas and also they stop working if water goes inside them.
Is the pic is your HID setup with anti-glare? I would like to know the cost involved and which brand is that.Mustard Yellow 2013 200NS - Suave Bloke in the town

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Good point regarding the HID reflector setup. I used one for a while too. It came with high/low beam setup, but there was no shield. With highway patrols around, that's a perfect police magnet. So I cut out a jugaad shield from an aluminium sheet and locked it in place with the adaptor ring. Gave good focus and visibility, but sadly was only on par with a 60/55 halogen. I think it's of no use to go for a HID mod, unless you get a 50W HID bulb (mine was 35W) for the headlight setup, or use a projector on the 35W.Originally posted by shrey1992 View PostI have used an Osram Night Breaker Unlimited in my NS, trust me all this 130% higher brightness thing is all gimmick. Osram and Philips 60/55 give better lighting in the sense that they are a little more brighter and whiter than stock. Mainly it's the 'feel good' thing you get when you see a whiter beam, not that visibility is awesome
I have been running on Hella Rallye 100/90W for more than a year now without any problems. I have used a relay, thicker wiring and a ceramic bulb holder for the purpose. I use the 90W most of the time, since it's more than enough for roads other than completely dark highways, where using the high beam becomes necessary.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
You do not need a specific video for the NS dude. Check out any video of how to replace an O ring chain and a little logic will get you home.Originally posted by Yatheesh S Yashashvi View PostYes there are millions of them but none for NS!
All you need to make sure, when you get the chain tensioners back on that both of them need to have the same reading on either side of the axle else the alignment may be an issue.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Just get another of your stock horn. That should rock you. I am using a P220 horn, sound is more than enough to get attention from cars and trucks. Plus, check the tone frequency so that it sounds dual-tone. P220 ones are good, but I chose a little bassy one (mixing a P220 horn with yours will give that). But more watt you spend, more battery draining, also make sure the wiring is not exposed (rain could spoil the game).Originally posted by jhbalaji View Post@vvk1999 @any1991, @GauravD and @vvk1999 @krixna @sharadh @vivek7593 @powerShift @NitSpeed200 @Itzli @deep007 @Durvesh @jbm_guy

For headlight, I'd advice you to stay off from these night breaker, bright vision stuf.. Just a white light making it look brighter, but will look washed out. It might be hard to hold your temptation, but as shreya1992 mentioned, get a HID from good brands such as philips which should cost you 6-8K up to 12K based on wattage. And for God's sake, stay away from all those cheap ebay ones.
In my all exp, 90W Halogen would give the best road presence, plus safe for other riders

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
First of all dude mind your tone ! you never specified which bike you want to get it done for. So if you expect precise answers give out precise information.Originally posted by Yatheesh S Yashashvi View PostChains dont come with removable locks,

Any FYI ... there are O ring chains which use removable locks. The reason I know this is because my cousin uses a de-linkable O ring chain on his Panigale, so do not try to guage what I know or not. And taking a swingarm apart is no big deal if you have the right tools and a little grey matter. I have done it on my NS too WITHOUT A DIY video. No wonder people out here ignore posts of members...
Good luck with your endeavors

1. I never mentioned a diy thread .. I said video. Yes, there is a need to specify which bike or chain for us to answer questions.Originally posted by Yatheesh S Yashashvi View PostFirst of all Im not talented like you brother.

2. The Panigale chain reference was a metaphor to make you understand that there are delinkable o ring chains.
3. Definitely low on grey matter hence you were not able to understand the reference and context in what it was mentioned.
Anyhow, the best suggestion which any of the more experienced members would give you - get onto youtube and search for one yourself.
Peace!
