How much did chain-sprocket cost you? And how did you come to know that it was time to change it?

Don't remember but approx 1900₹ for chain sprocket kit. And chain is making constant grinding noise even if cleaning and lubing is done because the links are now stretched beyond the limits and links are not sitting perfectly onto rear sprocket after 16k Kms of life. For now, they made it a little loose so I can squeeze out some last KMs.

Clean and lubricate every 500km, check slackness and adjust if necessary every 1000km. This will ensure smooth running and minimum wear of the chain/sprocket. Even then you will get only around 18-20K (maximum) before links stretch out to mental limits (you know what that means ). Your average of 16-17K per set is not bad, in my opinion.

Here with anotherPulsar 200ns windshield diy!

I had got hold of a as200 windshield last month, but due to lack of time and proper screws had postponed the project.
vvk1999 had posted few days back about his shield, so I went hunting for the pulsar 220 screws. thanks mate!!

And last night started with my diy

Time required: 15 minutes

Tools required:

1.small + screw driver,
2.pz1 size + screw driver,
3.strong knife
4. As windshield
5. 4 or 6 windshield screws and rubber cushions.
6. Ds tape

Note: I used pz1 because the windshield screw fit snug over it.
Don't get confused with what pz1 is, you can use any + screwdriver which has same diameter as your screws.

Cost : 350 for visor + 30 for 6 windshield screws.

Steps:
1. Fit two screws on the top two holes of as visor , so as to create support .

2. Use some ds tape and stick it on ns visor at 4 places so that you get better understanding what needs to be done.

2.a. Use ds tape at the bottom end, and near the screw , place as Visor over it and mark the holes you need to make.

3.use the small screw driver over the marking you have made and try piercing the ns visor ( as if you were tightening a screw there) it would not take any effort.
Once the hole is created on all 4 places.

4. Take the pz1 and place over the small holes and again screw the holes, this way you would have perfect drilled holes without a drill.

5. Remove the Ds tape and place as visor over ns visor, screw them together with windshield screw.

6.mark the as visor at the place where it meets ns visor screw area, carve the area out with a knife, would not take much effort .

7. Voila, you are done.
Go back and fix the visor on the beast.

Sorry for low light pics, had a dying battery!

I replaced the stock ns screws with the new screws to improve on aesthetics and ease of installation.

Mod review

After a long and hot week in Bangalore got chance to escape the heat to kolar.

I previously could ride maintaining 100kmph wearing thick leather jacket and helmet with closed visor, anything above that would create a lot of air force on the chest and impossible to keep the speed constant.

Whereas today I could maintain 128kmph constant for 15minutes...felt like I am riding at 90kmph.
Totally reduced wind drag.
Helmet visor was open and I was not having any jacket with me this time.
Could have tried for a higher speed as ns still had a lot of juice left but as I was without proper gear I ditched the plans.

Even for daily b2b traffic at 30 to 50kmph I am able to feel the difference in wind blast.

Verdict:
Mod successful.
Makes everyone confused as to which edition bike this is due to the shield and adjustable levers.

P.s. always wear proper gear while riding at higher speed.

Some side and front pics of your bike please. I want to do the mod in my mustard yellow but worries whether it will spoil the posture of the bike. I really love the functionality but worried about the appeal

Here you go bro... Its a bit incomplete as of now. Ran out of time yesterday. The black film on the visor is not pending for next weekend. Also, would be providing clamp support to the shield from the cross bar. However, it would give you a good idea about how to set it up. @nikzcool has described the diy for this brilliantly.
xplod566, jbm_guy, kany1991 - Finally got a new fairing for my Devil. All black is the way to go. The red headlamp fairing was looking out of place so replaced that too. Please be gentle with the criticism since I know its not the best of works however to apprise you - the visor would be covered with matt black / somewhat glossy film so the nuts would get covered and so would the two holes on the visor.

Did check out the same today on the way to work ... wind blast considerably reduced and would be even more reduced in the race bike stance .. however with my position (somewhat slouched) - manifold reduced wind blast on the chest however the helmet still faces some windblast. However gains a few brownie points for additional stability. Touched 122 kmph without being buffeted around.

Lol... Seem like an endless 2 3 weeks. By the way, prices shown on the site are almost double of what is shown on the website. The tank flap is priced around 600+ on the site however I got it for around 350 from the auth svc center.

Good one bro. Share me the side view, the perfect side view.

Also you can try for the tinted black film they put on cars instead. And try ordering colored/activated/passivated allen bolts from Aliexpress for the visor, it would be a definite killer, the black/red.

Bro...don't cover up the screws! Get ones with bigger flat heads (ones that don't need a washer). Allen or star screws would be fine. Stainless steel or passivated would look equally good once the black film comes on. Btw, use screws to cover up the top two holes too...two blue LEDs may also look good there

Spent a second thinking as to what should be done about the empty holes and I think I will use the V15 number plate holder and get the number plate up there
