Many times i feel 200ns mileage is unpridictable.. Recently i ride 25km @120kph it gives 33kmpl and suddenly in city it give 32kmpl earlier he used to give 37-39kmpl ..
    Max. i got 42kmpl min. 29kmpl

I second that. An FI system would have been a real boon.

That is very sad indeed. Did you try the throttle control method? It gave me a significant improvement, from 29 to 38kmpl.

        I know this
I was just correcting the other member when he wrote that mileage decreases with lean mixture.

Good that you posted this, nicely put.

        Ride safe and have fun.

I rode my bike under 50 kmph for 3 days just to check best mileage i can get, i got 49,51,48, by using reserve to reserve method.
It was 95% highway riding with constant speeds.
Lowest i have got is 34kmpl which was during a 500km ride with speeds ranging from 80-140.
On daily basis i get 40 plus.

                      • Duke 200 or p200ns

Hello pulsarians needs your valuable suggestions planning to sell my p220 as i feel it is outdated and going to buy p200 ns or D200 i feel P200NS is more VFM but tempted by D200 acceleration.

But as far looks wise i love P200NS which is the best buy among these posted the same thing in the 'WHICHBIKE' section but the mods still didnt approved my thread so posting here.

Didnt ride p200ns once how far it is different from p220? what about engine refinement levels, smoothness and gear shifts when compared to the p220 if this pulsar200ns gear shifts and refinement is same as p220 i will go for the duke for sure because iam tired of using pulsars for more than 7 years & i hate those harshy engines & false gear shifts. Is the NS engine viby & soundy like p220?

Need some of your valuable suggestions as you riders are more experienced with NS

Share some PROS & CONS of p200ns as you experienced in your day to day rides.

Its better if you can wait for 200SS with slightly slower seat height .

                          PROS:
1.I felt it climbs rev much faster than the 220.
                          2.No typical pulsar vibes .
                          3.Extremely good handling .
                          4.Reliability should be better .
5.Liquid cooled= Better performance in long run .
6.Higher average speed in the same conditions with the same rider.
7.Brutal acceleration will ensure that you keep up with everything on the road .

                          CONS:
1.Seating position won't be nice if you are used with the 220 position.
2.Not a big jump in power (Just acceleration seems faster).
3.Exhaust sound may not be bassy .
4.Naked bike suffers a lot in windy highway .
5.Long wheelbase 220 will appear to be more stable with less seat height and position along with fairing .
6.May fail to turn heads (Sleeper bike ) in signal when compared to other bikes in the segment
7.Requires frequent gearshift in city limits .
8.Low end torque seems lower than 220 bike wakes up after 4k rpm and then flies .

I have a close mate who owns a 200NS so I ride it often .
If the use is within city limits and occasional highway run its NS .
And if you want more style, image with better mech available to service your steed its Duke for you .

All the above points are my personal opinion it may change so take a test ride

After P220 the p200ns is no upgradation for you.. Only additional thing ia liquid cooling. I would suggest D200. Otherwise i dont see any upragde after p220, Even p200SS .. When i ride D200 first thing in my mind there is no comparison between ns n duke.

Because I hear the opposite - even some posts ago someone confirmed that all 200NS has strong vibes, particularly in the footpeg area, at ~6k rpm range ?

Iam just looking to buy 200ns just for the sake of refreshment as iam using p220 for more than 3 years iam bored of it so looking for a change but confused between duke and NS as the both shared some similar engine ergonomics.

Seen many comparision reviews of NS & DUKE on youtube in all the reviews their final verdict is P200 NS is the practical machine & duke is 45k more than 200ns but is it really worth of buying the duke over ns??
