Thanks for your response.
Kerosene and diesel help remove dirt which is stuck tight

To add up, even the mono-shock is different on the newer bikes.

Even I felt the same thing. But it was way smoother than previous machines. The owner of the new bike even told me that the new gen NS are quicker but have some limitation in place. He could not get it past 145kmph. Is that true? Additionally, I felt as if the height was bit altered. I don't remember correctly, I required to stretch a bit more to reach the ground. The reason I am confused is because I need to stretch to reach the ground even on my bike.

denverrodricks : May be you got it from an old stock. Many showrooms are still selling the old stock..

Hey guys, my NS have a problem regarding the Speedometer. When on giving the throttle the rpm needle gets on vibrating(not in a stable position), gets on moving up and down. Is there any way to rectify this problem?

Prince sir: This is approximately the new console.
The monoshock I think is better than the old and wont cause any leakage.
jithinjacky: Thats a faulty piece of RPM meter I suppose. Get it replaced under warranty.

jithinjacky : that is a common problem with most of the NS, my bike's tachometer has same problem since day1, still doing fine.
utsavchs: thanks for the pic. The meter has kawasaki bajaj written on it. So may be its for other markets.

This model is for Indonesia I suppose. Hence we see Kawasaki logo.

Has the pick up decreased in latest edition of NS?

Anyone using the Motul 7100 on the NS? How's the performance? I confirmed from the svc manager that it does not void the warranty. So I'm thinking about using it. And also, what oil filter do you use? Standard Bajaj filter or something else?

I used the 7100 & I found the performance on the NS to be completely satisfactory. Use it if you frequently take your bike on long rides.

Not long rides, but I ride about 50 kms a day. About 15-20km at a stretch. My office is 14kms away, and my girlfriend lives about 20 kms away. So...

See, it performs well for short commutes too. But really shines on long rides. As, in short commutes, the ride would end before it attains optimum performance.

So which would be the best oil for my usage? A friend suggested 5100

Don't know if it can be fitted or not, but if you did manage to fit it, your acceleration would probably go for a toss. The numbers of teeth is much lesser in R15. Maybe the top speed might increase a bit.

Duke has a larger rear sprocket, a friend had installed it but regretted it instantly because although the acceleration did increase, the top speed and mileage got screwed.

I'm not 100% sure of anything. I would stick to stick on such cases.
