Duke has a larger rear sprocket, a friend had installed it but regretted it instantly because although the acceleration did increase, the top speed and mileage got screwed.

I'm not 100% sure of anything. I would stick to stick on such cases.
R15's v2.0 front sprocket is 15 teeth front and rear is 47 teeth with. 420 pitch chain
V1.0 has 13 teeth front 42 teeth rear.. with. 420 pitch while ns has. 520 pitch..
Even if use entire chain sprocket kit youll seriously undergear the bike..
There one idea if you can try.. use duke 200 rear sprocket with an 140/70 17 tyre.. this might slightly improve acceleration than stock ns and almost par with duke..
The only problem will the rear wheel hub.. ns has 6 hole sprocket as opposed to 4 hole on d200

@utsavchs: thanks for the pic. The meter has kawasaki bajaj written on it. So may be its for other markets.

I think it's already on the new stock. Here's @shrey1992 's console from his triplog

Mate you might have got ns from an old stock as 2014 model..
Imo theres no problem with older console.. In new console everything is same as expect they moved the warning lights to other side and redline at 9.5k rpm
            Its not a biiggee...

Guy i have checked my bike mileage reserve to reserve and got 41kmpl mixed riding average speed was mixed but more in the 60-70kmph.

when the bike engine stops i change the petrol cap poisition to reserve and fill rs 80 petrol to measure the mileage and riding under 4000rpm (under speed 54kmph) i will update soon the mileage no within 2 days

Wrong method... measure from reserve to full tank to reserve. The moment you open the petrol lid, vapours escape and the added petrol vapourises to reach equilibrium. The lesser petrol you put, the more would be the error. Remember, its gas!! Gasoline.
How to measure fe.- let the bike run to reserve. The moment it hit reserve make tripmeter reading to zero. Now fill 400 or 500 rs gas, measure the liter reading (X) litre. The moment you hit reserve again calculate
                (Distance on tripmeter/X.)

I agree with muztariq. Follow his method, but fill the tank. The NS takes 10 lit. of gas once it hits reserve. Mine used to return 420 - 440 km in each reserve-to-reserve fill, so FE was hovering around 43, average.

Why the new NS has 9500 rpm redline....did they realized that engine cant sustain 10000 rpm redline..??

Bajaj will never learn...why do they always keep on tinkering with a launched product. Why cant they do all the r&d before launching...what benefit is derived from changing the speedo console..

Yes, of course. And any additional weight like the travel gear.

Ya you can use hazard lights. Got to a good mechanic. He will just do some rewiring and make the existing turn signals blink like hazard lights!
