That might be due to corrosion or threading on the screw being rusted. Put some grease and rotate it freely. Ask the asc guys to tale care during the next service.

          Sticker work,
          New Proper Rear Hugger,
Matte engine case and clutch case paint work,
Front and rear caliper painted to matte,
          Tank Pad,
New improved paint work on Fuel lid,
          New Digital speedo,
          Re tuned CDI ( 9.5k redline )
Coolant temp, engine temp etc moved to analog.. ( now its on the left side )
Matte black handle bar and triple tree,
          Robust rear rest,
          Engine noise has been lowered
          and few more

          Rest are all the same...

Few say that the newer NS is quite powerless compared to Older one...

Chennai folks, could you pls suggest a good bike wash centre for our bike. With the intermittent rains, keeping the bike clean has become a tiresome task.

dont wash your bike more frequent...

I do mine at velachery, which is around 4km from my place.. he charge me 110rs for it...
he uses kerosene, diesel, soap powder and shampoo for it..
takes around 30~45min to get it done....

                  • Burning smell from NS

Guys recently i lubed my bike ( pulsar 200 ns). And now after riding it for some time there is a burning smell coming from some.
does it have anything to do with the lube. I have also fiddled with my idle rpm 'setting thing'( don't know the name).
Don't know if this is a problem or its natural to all ns.
Also my idle rpm changes to 2.2 (from 1.4) after a 10 minute ride or so.should it be doing that.what is the recommended idle rpm?

I know its a lot of questions ,but please help. My ride is 1300km's ridden.
                    with regards

I recently got a mileage of 38.42 kmpl. I mostly ride with a pillion. So how much do you think would be the mileage if I rode single instead?

                      • Pulsar 200NS speedometer problem

I own a PULSAR 200NS. There is a problem regarding the speedometer of my ride. The rpm needle gets on fluctuating up and down when giving the throttle, it doesn't become stable at all. So please help me fix this problem.

The burning smell might be beacuse of lube being sprayed over the top of exhaust thats near the monoshock..
                            Nothing to worry about that..
And idling should be at 1500 when engine is hot..
Try setting idle when engine is hot and not COLD.. or else take it to the monkeys in svc ask them to set the idle correctly
(ironically nowdays thats one thing that mechanics in bajaj svc can do very well)

20,000 Kms completed & my NS will be 2 year old in a month... yes im kind of slow.
Engine condition - No problems so far.. absolutely fit n still has the same brutal, front wheel popping acceleration. For optimal performance the clutch plates will need changing in the next 5k Kms.. max I could stretch it to will be 10k Kms..
Mileage recieving - 32-34 Km/l. A very reasonable figure for the way I ride my bike... totally redlining it most of the time.. It still needs some optimized tuning but im too lazy..
                              Battery also in fit condition.
Chain Sprocket - Good to go for many more thousand Kms - see yourself in this raw image sample.
Best thing I did is in past month is switch to MRF Revz-S - best tyre with stock dimensions for NS, offering superb grip at just 3000 INR. My front is still eurogrip.
There is only some rattling noise from the tail light area... nothing too bothering.
                              Happy with my Naked Wolf!
