Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Well carb tuning wont help if you are running bajaj oil which has done 1400 kms now. i have faced this vibration issue for quite a time.my pinion used to compliant due to vibs, switched to motul 5100(tuned the carb myself. full 3 turns and a quarter, cause i need efficieny) Bike runs far better, but not smoother than unicorn for sure ;-) And my front brakes too make lil bit squeaky krrr sound when applied but for hearing i have to engage clutch and silent envirment.its from day one(no decrease in breaking power compared to friends ns for sure)Originally posted by shek15 View PostLast edited by Rex2688; 09-12-2014, 07:03 PM.

Tappets sound can creep up early also, like I said even if you fix it ...it wud come up in 150-200kms. Its something that you will get used to.Originally posted by shek15 View PostThe bike currently 2100kms old and Its been 1400kms since the last service. But Isn't it a bit early for tappet problems? Btw I'm experiencing crazy vibes all over the bike, in rear seat too
. Tuning carb didn't help much.
60 front and 40 rear bro. As the bike is quite new, not yet changed the break pads.
P.s-I hear some krrrr(not annoyingly loud) sound when i hold the front breaks.
Krrr sound can come from dust in the caliper/brake pads, its should go off in a few kms. If not try cleaning it with pressure wash.
Vibrations could be due to oil, bajaj oil really don't last that long. In my case, it lasted for 200kms at its best. So as suggested switch to Motul and see if it makes a difference.

. But The bike is running with motul 5100 since last 500kms, Changed oil filer too.
Can Someone suggest me a good local mechanic in Bangalore?
Technically, SVC is suppose to be a safe heaven for our bikes. But entering Bajaj SVC, I pray that I get my bike back unharmed. When i took my bike for first service(537kms in odo), the manager redlined the bike in neutral, to check if bike is revving freely

I would suggest AutoService in Banasankari , that is one of the preferred ones in bangalore.

I remember some members giving good opinion about Auto service. I'll get my 2nd service done from there. I hope, I could get all issues sorted out. Thank you for your help.

there is three mark on the fuel knob.Originally posted by levintt View PostPlease. Just tell me , the white mark on the fuel knob, does it mean reserve when its pointed up or down ?
1.fuel is off when u put the arrow sign up.
2.fuel is in on position when u put the full bucket sign up.
3.fuel is on reserve when u put the half bucket sign up.

@a_poor_blind_kid
I can't believe you joined xBhp back in 2003 and made your first post just yesterday..
Btw, isn't the dhoom tyre a CEAT one ? it's called CEAT Zoom XL ? something.. and it's a good tyre i know it. pretty expensive for a tyre that isn't talked about very often.

Yeah..I can't believe I took this long to post too :-P
Thanks for correcting me..the dhoom 3 series is from Ceat. Very good tyre... Kept putting off changing the rear tyre until recently when the bike almost skid off the roads at barely 60-70 kmph..went to the first tyre shop I came across (at Mahim) and changed it to the Ceat. Been happy so far with the new tyre although cross winds in heavy winds still make the bike wobble..hope the Fazer fairing will help a bit..my mechanic has been a bit busy lately so the delay in fixing the fairing for the NS..a poor blind kid

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Completed a 400 km trip from Bhopal to Indore and back the same day.Started early morning around 5.15 and was back 7 pm.
*The beauty of the highway is best seen on a Motorcycle.Truly magnificient experience riding early morning on highways.
*My shoulders and arms took a toll. Was uncomfortable till the next morning.
*Ns returned around 42 kmpl with mostly hard driving.
*Touched 140 kmph(thrice), although was unable to Stay there because of the wind.
*The induction note from the k&n at higher revs is mind blowing.
*The vibrations in the dreaded 4-5k range completely disappeared after half an hour of continuous riding.May be due to the motul 5100 gold??
*I have been on a couple of rides before but this time the difference being the MRF 140/60 rear tyre.Bike felt unusually stable at speeds around 100kmph , which was not the case before.
*The rear view mirrors are worse on the highway.Very awkard positioning makes the rear view angle quite small and hence does not serve the purpose well.
*The 2 fortuner guys at the Mid way Highway treat dodi came to inspect the "small" bike which overtook their "SUV" at some 120 kmh.
