Hi myth2104, there are three pipes under the tank. two in black which looks like similar to the one in the pic, the other is a grey pipe. basically the grey pipe is connected from the tank to the carburator. one black is connected from tank to the fuel filter, whereas the left out on is the fuel drain pipe. the fuel flows in gray pipe if the knob is in the ON position and the one black pipe works in the RES position. no need to worry about the hanging pipe it is just need to be routed to the belly of the bike. take it to the SVC they will do it in minutesOriginally posted by myth2104 View PostToday I just noticed a pipe coming out. Never saw it here earlier. Is it some sort of a drainage pipe and should it be here?
I know this is not the carb drainage pipe.(Pic attached)
The bike's running fine though.

Edit: I was planning a 300km ride this Sunday, seems like a bad idea after reading the blog post. Does it? How about a 150km one instead?

- no revving of engine for too long (15-20 sec above 6k is alright once in a while not more than that..)
- no cruising for higher speeds like 60. Ideally do not run the engine at one rpm for too long. keep the rpm varying and below 5-6k.
- no riding for more than 30-40km at a stretch. Take stops and let the engine cool off a bit. No straining. Go easy on engine.
- no racing..
(especially drag racing)
Ideally mineral oil is advised to be used before 5000km. Then SS till 10000km and FS thereafter. No problem with switching to other brand, Bajaj DTSi isn't the best option around. Just keep in mind the warranty issue (I switched to Motul by 400 km on ODO and didn't let the SVC know I am using Motul.
)
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

A 200NS guy was following me today in service road near SRM,chennai.. Was driving at very normal speed arnd 30 kmph maybe.. and he was following at the same speed. suddenly I heard a screeching sound, turned around and saw the RED NS guy with his new bike lying on the ground... Poor guy
felt sorry for him and I couldn't stop to help bcz was in a hurry.. Later realised how poor the grip of EUROGRIP is... If its anyone from here i was the R15 guy riding ahead of you... Sorry couldn't help.. My opinion change the tyres as soon as you buy the bike. So that you get good money for the stock tyres.... No offence here guys.. Just shared my experience

Hello everyone! I was planning to install a projector on my NS. It's a dual projector kit worth INR 4000 but since im buying only one, it's 2000 for me. I need a projector setup coz I find the stock light to be inadequate, no matter how much I adjust the focus. The owners who have gotten this mod done, is it worth shelling out 2k rupees on it? Or should i go for more expensive ones in case this is too cheap and unreliable? Are there any risks / complications associated with headlight modding apart from the electrical warranty getting void? Should I watch out for ballast problems / battery drain issues in the long run? Lastly are there any maintenance steps I can / should follow after installation? Please help me out as I'm prettyg inexperienced in all this.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

@all
having a serious problem, getting a tak-tak sound from bike. If the bike is in neutral and i am moving it backwards the sound is easily audible. Same thing is noticeable while the bike is running. I think is its coming from chain. Again sound is like something is hitting a part....tak-tak...comes after 2-3 sec regularly.
Also what if the engine is oil more than required? I think the SVC guy poured in way too much.

1. check the chain tension.
2. It could be a chain sprocket wear out.

By chain tension do you mean 'Slackness"?Originally posted by ganesh_bbr View PostHow much your bike has clocked?

I have clocked near to 3800kms. I am not sure its from the chain but i get the feeling the sound is from that side only.
so confused

I face the exact same thing! From my observations, I'm sure that it's from the front sprocket when the chain gets separated from the front sprocket. I didn't find anything weird on either the chain or the sprocket. The sprocket wasn't loosely fitted either. After a very thorough cleaning, the sound was gone but it kept coming back occasionally. If it's there in the morning, it's gone in the evening. I've simply let it be the way it is coz even the svcs couldn't find out the exact reason for it.Originally posted by ankur2smart View Post@all

I'll do that. I don't know about any online stores but I checked out a shop in my city. Seemed legit, so I'm saving upOriginally posted by Sahil333222 View Postyou can try it, just checkout the voltage of the projector lamp and also that its street legal or not......

If engine oil is filled in excess, then it will be blown out through the crank case breather, nothing to worry about here. Though in some cases I've heard there's a possibility of blowing a seal.Motorcycling Experience:
2000 ~ 2017 Y2K Kinetic Zoom (Disposed at 15k)
2011 ~ 2015 Hero Honda Karizma R (Sold at 56.5k)
2013 ~ 2014 Bajaj Discover 100 4G (Sold at 16.5k)
2015 ~ 2017 TVS Wego (Totaled at 18k)
2015 - Bajaj Pulsar 220F (Currently 31k) < Garage Queen!

Well to avoid any problems, I will remove the excess oil today.Originally posted by ashwinprakas View PostIf engine oil is filled in excess, then it will be blown out through the crank case breather, nothing to worry about here. I use LS2 full face helmet & I hardly hear anything when that is on. I was just parking my bike in my society's basement when I discovered that noise.Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostI face the exact same thing! So yesterday I rode my bike with my bro's half-face helmet. It was then when I realized that the sound is continous
Dude are you facing any other prob? I am getting worried about this noise. Machines are not suppose to make weird noises without any reason.Being best is not about beating everyone. It's about how much you learn from others and make yourself even better
